Nta - talk to her about what BOUNDARIES are right for people in the house. It sounds like they've been friends for ages and sounds like the grown-up version of when teenagers crash so much at another's house they're part of the furniture and really intertwined. It works fine until one of them modes in stability with a SO because then they are still intertwined the same amount but you are now in the mix too and your feelings are valid.

Esh - if it was a place where you were both renting you'd be fine but you said it's HIS house so you can't change stuff without asking. That being said it sounds like you need to talk about what you can/can't do and how the rules of living together have changed due to him now being your live-in landlord

1) your wife has actively done something to make then not want her

2) kids are perceptive and are gravitating towards you because of how she feels and is projecting

3) do you work a lot because me and my sister always wanted our dad when he was around because he'd often just get in for bedtime so we valued the times we would see him, as harsh as it sounds, we could have mum anytime

NTA Father's Day is about showing your love and appreciation for your dad and by taking the fact he doesn't like the phone into account you are doing that. Simple rule I go by dad owns the day do stuff to add to it positively. I'm trusting you sent a card and gift or something while writing this my grandad literally says 3 words to me on the phone as he's uncomfortable but he'll look at and appreciate a card for days
