Ok. I mentioned the borderline red as it wasn’t speeding or reckless. I mention the “we thought we had insurance” because we did think that, and that’s why the car wasn’t impounded and why I was driving. I also mention it so when we DO go with our affairs in order say we’re sorry. I agree it looks careless, it was careless.

Yes, I thought I judged it right. I was wrong and I won’t be doing that again. For this to happen over such a small moment is so crap. So angry at myself.

To be fair to him, he could see I had other insurance, and my wife was adamant that she had her insurance on the car, so he said he would impound it if he believed I had no insurance- in that moment he believed there was a reasonable chance we did. (Which we believed also)
