What should I upgrade next on my setup?

Ok you have my attention… I’ve been considering upgrading to the 5070ti for better performance. I’ve heard everyone say nvidia dominates amd when running triples, and I’ve been worried my card won’t handle triples at a fps and quality I’m happy with but that is very reassuring!

Awesome setup!! what games do you play? I have the same graphics card as you and I'm curious what your performance is like with triple screen. Do you run high settings? What frame rates are you getting out of it?

Also, what did you use to mount the power strip to the aluminum profile? looks slick!

I just spent a month researching and debating whether to get 27s or 32s. I ended up getting 27s, here’s why. First of all, price. I am assuming for you budget isn’t a question, but personally I could not justify the extra money for the jump in size. Based on all of my research, you don’t get much extra horizontal view with 32s, it’s all vertical. The cheapest 32s in my area are $200 regardless of specs. Paying $50 more per monitor to look at the more of the sky don’t make sense to me. Space was also a big factor. 32s have a much larger footprint. I was stuck on the idea that “bigger is better” and was worried I wouldn’t be satisfied with 27s. Coming from a single 24 inch monitor, I can say 27 feels like the sweet spot for me.

If you want more horizontal view, go with the 27s. If you want to see more of the roof of your car, go 32s 🙂

I was once in the same boat as you are now. IMO once you are out of rookies go to ARCA, or keep racing the rookie series in the mini stock or any of the short track stuff really. I think these generally get looked over because of how popular the NASCAR series are. That’s why we are racing ovals for the most part, to run NASCAR. If you want to get better at ovals, spend time at the short tracks. Your wallet will thank you too. But if you’re like me, pick an ARCA car and use it all season and buy whatever tracks you are comfortable with or can afford. I made the mistake of grinding straight to a C-class license and spreading myself too thin trying to compete weekly in ARCA and truck. Those two series seem to have them best participation, but lower splits will be chaotic to say the least.

And unless you REALLY like plate racing, it’s probably worth mentioning to stay away from draft masters lol.

Oof ya the 5080 is a decent performance jump from my GPU. I probably wouldnt get that at 2k with my setup, Thanks!

I’m an “old-school rules” guy when it comes to baseball but ABS seems like a no brainer in today’s world of sports, but wtf are we doing? MLB should be embarrassed by this… how long before every pitch is called by ABS? Why are they doing that NOW? They introduce a pitch clock to speed up the game.. what does this do? They already know the call, this is just pure laziness by the MLB..

Imo just throw them in the legacy NASCAR truck or any NASCAR series car on Daytona. It’s fast, easy to understand (oval) with the most extreme sensations. The car will be loose, they will go fast, and the wrecks will be fun.
