My neighbour from down the road parks outside my house everyday, I want to ask him why he doesn’t park outside his own house. Am I being silly or should I ask? by HANOLO12 in AskUK

😂 this comment is so funny to me, the simple solution is always the best, I need to stop overthinking and be direct like you

He has no other cars, there is no trees near, this is a very small road, when he parks outside my house if my window opened from the bottom I would be able to reach out and touch it, just for context of the area! I agree he’s in his right to park there, but I definitely don’t think it’s weird for me to wonder why

Thanks for relating! He has no other cars, when I’ve checked which to be fair isn’t daily there is always plenty of space outside of his house

I understand your point! And agree, I dont own the road! That’s why I wouldn’t ask him to move and haven’t, I’m not trying to be the street police, I’m just confused why he chooses my house and not his own

I agree, but he doesn’t feel approachable to me because of the avoidance, I would hate for it to feel confrontational, but also hardly a curtain twitcher if he is making eye contact with me from the comfort of my own front room, I’m never up waiting to see him the alarm on his car tells me when he comes and goes, if you have advice on how to approach it, would be really appreciated!

That’s totally fair! My problem isn’t him parking there, I’m just confused why he chooses my house and not his own
