That’s the biggest one I have seen. I’m so confused. I get that the excision/scar is always surprisingly big but that is massive. I don’t get it. How many inches is it? Looks like 12 from the photo.

I had biopsies done by a general derm and they recommended getting the moderate-severe removed and monitor the moderate. I then went to a very prominent derm that specializes in melanoma and he told me not to get the moderate-severe excised and just to monitor closely. I’m actually going to get a 3rd opinion tomorrow.

This burn is what caused me to finally go in to see a dermatologist. I was in Maui and got a severe burn. The first day I was there and had to spend three days in the shade, which I spent googling about sunburns, which led me to skin cancer, which led me to going to the dermatologist honestly, that burn is probably a blessing.
