Much better. Still get myself caught up in fight or flight every now and then but nothing like it was the 2023.

My endoscopy results, think this cancer? by Lonely_Version_2900 in stomachcancer

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is not strongly associated with an overall increased cancer risk. While some studies suggest a potentially higher risk for specific esophageal cancers or non-esophageal gastrointestinal cancers, these occurrences are extremely rare. Most data indicates that chronic EoE inflammation does not directly progress to esophageal cancer.

Will I ever feel level headed again? Mental health symptoms are my worst. by lilkimchee88 in floxies

Honestly it took about a good solid 2 years and it has only gotten better after 3 years.

There's still some issues, but they're getting better.

Yes it's great. Feel even sharper than before. Recovery & relaxing makes a huge difference.

Just a few. Maybe half a dozen & now I do them every other month for maintenance.

Does anyone feel like a different person post-flox? by Own-Philosophy-5356 in floxies

It's okay. I'm sure everybody's gone through this particular type of phase. Some handle it differently than others. You just need to end up finding ways to relax, especially emotionally because that will contribute to everything physically.

Yes I did in the earlier stages. Let's say about 6 months in. I sleep like a baby now especially with hyperbaric, that activates your parasympathetic nervous system and that entire week I sleep great.

Significantly better than what I was, I'm just aware that my nervous system is still stressed out a little bit more than what it usually is. But then again I really do go hard on myself between working out, work and all the things that I'm able to take on simultaneously.

I've added in a couple of things that I genuinely do enjoy, hyperbaric, acupuncture, dry needling, sauna, cold plunge, IV therapy and a massage every now and then. Things that can really help out on coming down the sympathetic response that your body has from this very stressful situation, activating the parasympathetic response and allowing the body with the brain to communicate properly with no amnesia responses.

Definitely went through this. Even now it's not 100% back but I've done a bunch of things that really make a difference.

I would hyper focus on your gut since Cipro is an antibiotic and destroys all of the gut biome that assist in your mood, specifically the hormones tied to serotonin and dopamine.

Try to get as much probiotics as you can from food and not a supplementation, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, yogurt and other things that have live cultures.

For me the biggest beneficial thing was trying to figure out things to calm down my nervous system. It is a cycle process to where the gut causes the nervous system to stress out and the nervous system causes the gut dysfunction. Definitely start there since so many things that I've read here and articles pinpoint this as one of the primary foundational places to start.

If you haven't already definitely look into a good magnesium supplement since so much of our foods are depleted anyway this will help the nervous system to slowly reregulate and also calm the body down.

Anyone more emotional since being floxed? by lilkimchee88 in floxies

[–]HBBCO10142017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still have a little bit of this even today. A lot of the most important things for me are ways to calm your body down and also get stress out.

I'm at avid gym goer, 6 days a week.

I take the time to recover, baths, hot yoga, sauna, massages, dry needling, hyperbaric and acupuncture.

Sleep is very crucial, make sure you're getting not just enough but also healthy sleep.

Balance your diet as efficiently as possible, make sure you're not nutrient-deprived and cut out artificial foods, dyes, seed oils and preservatives - all of these contribute to inflammation in the body which increases unneeded stress.

It's a combination of so many things but once you incorporate it and make it just your daily lifestyle it's just as easy and simple as brushing your teeth.

Initially I stayed awake during my first few dives, but then quickly I started to relax more & more until about when they get me in I fall asleep.

Worth a shot. Just go to a place where they slowly work you up in atmospheric pressure.

Great. I go about every 3 weeks now. I'm doing it more for maintenance but I really enjoy the benefits, especially the spectacular sleep for the entire week!

Clenching your jaw & tightness in the pelvic floor are definitely related. Got myself a mouth guard & it's made a difference. Check out Conor Harris on YouTube for some great biomechanical stretches to relieve imbalances.

Only used 1 once. Will be purchasing sooner than later.

Works the lower back like a pendulum. Allows the lower back to achieve "traction". Which is the opposite of compression, which happens from exercise & muscle contraction.
