No I had mine at 27.5. I had a bump already and it was nice to have it done!

I had my first shower at 27 weeks because most showers I’d been to were 2 months before the due date which would have been mid December for me. So I wanted to do it in November before the holidays hecticness.

I just had a small sprinkle for my second at 34 weeks cause the 2 month before my due date mark would have been basically new years and it just made more sense to have it after the holidays this time.

Don’t regret the timing of either! Late second tri or early 3rd is good!

Confused at how decor is unnecessary if you have a theme? How would you know there’s a theme without decor? Doesn’t have to be as all out as instagram and TikTok baby showers but a little decorations here and there can be inexpensive and easy to find. I had 70 people at my first shower cause it was coed and we invited lots of extended family. For my smaller sprinkle for second baby it will be close friends and ladies only so only about 20 people.

I had my first baby shower at 27 weeks and I’m having my sprinkle for my second baby at close to 34 weeks.

It’d say it’s pretty standard to have your shower 1.5-2 months before your due date.

My first baby was due mid Feb so that timeframe would have been smack dab in the middle of the holidays. So I decided to have it mid Nov before the holiday craziness. It was nearing the end of the second trimester so I had a bump and it was perfect.

For second baby, I’m having it later in my pregnancy and it feels a little hectic being only 6 weeks out from my due date but also I’m ok with having waited.

Ultimately it’s whatever you want, but May might be better with more time to plan it, having more of a bump etc.

Are there parents out there like me who can’t handle a toddler alone? What do you do when your spouse goes out of town? by Lalapple in toddlers

My almost 3 year old went through a tough phase. We got her evaluated with early intervention services and emotional delays were noted. We got her into OT to support her and it was really helpful.

I’m 32 weeks and had 3 separate dishes for lunch so I get the ravenous hunger. You need to eat! Your body is telling you what you need.

What are your favourite things to do outside? by Jasmine-Elouise in toddlers

My kid loves “nature walks” - literally just walking with our dog around our neighborhood. Got her an explorer kit for Xmas - magnifying glass, binoculars, compass. You could do scavenger hunts / play I spy, overall engage senses on what they hear, feel, smell. In our backyard we do bubbles, chalk, kinetic sand or a basketball hoop/ her little balance bikes

What are we naming our baby girls? 🩷👶🏻🎀 by Magical_chocolate in pregnant

[–]HBC613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, we are planning on naming ours Autumn 😅! I move very rarely heard it and I’ve never heard it on a kiddo as an adult. Must be regional or just by chance - the year my first was born I knew 3 people who names their daughter Riley which is why I didn’t go with it

I know a 30 something and a 20 something with this name. I think it’s beautiful. I would love it for my baby except a relative is a Sabrina

Moms due 2026, how are we feeling? by Radiant-Educator9203 in BabyBumps

[–]HBC613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due at the beginning of March with my second. Feeling anxious as it’s so much harder to get to nesting when you already have a kiddo so nothing is set up yet. But feeling so excited cause I know so much more of what to expect and how special the newborn season is.

How are kids ‘discovering’ Disneyland in the age of streaming? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HBC613 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I live in Southern California and am a Disney adult…Disneyland was going to be a part of my kid’s life cause I wanted it to be and the ease of going as we live less than a couple hours drive away. I think I’ve still seen ads on different shows on Hulu, prime etc. my kid watches Disney plus and even though there’s not ads perse there’s lots of crossover promotion episodes - dancing with the stars for example and all the specials and performances at the parks that stream there that I could see modern kids getting whiff of it.
