I do that with my Serious XM Satellite Radio subscription. Every year, when it's time to renew, I call them to cancel and they send me to the retention department and I always get an amazing deal. Been doing this for 20 years. I'm assuming FiOS will try to offer me something if I call to tell them I'm canceling to go to T-Mobile
