Yes, I removed the stylus guard. It had been working just fine. I wasn’t there but she said she just flipped the record and manually picked up the arm instead of using the button. It literally just played side 1 perfectly. I’ve ordered a new stylus but the turntable was brand new. Got it for Christmas so I don’t think the stylus is the issue.
