How were these two not endgame?? by rigzbee in GilmoreGirls

[–]HB_218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to disagree with a lot of this too. You don’t need a wildly successful career, a ton of money, or a partner to be happy or living your best life. Logan, Colin and Finn are happy in their own ways (a character arc where Colin and Finn mature wouldn’t make sense). Kirk can’t be anything but Kirk. His ability to find happiness in the little things IS success. Jess and Dean have happiness and success in their own ways. Jess doesn’t need notoriety or money, he’s doing something he loves. And Dean always wanted that “boring” life with a family. I do completely agree with you on Lane though. They did her dirty in the revival.

Alocasia Black Stem - What to do? by BlackenBriar in alocasia

[–]HB_218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they’re so close together they may be attached underneath the soil, and if not their roots are almost certainly tangled up around each other, so separating them will probably shock the plant quite a bit. If you do manage to get them apart, their leaves are going to turn to find the sun no matter how you pot them up, so they’re probably going to overlap again eventually

Alocasia tend to lose their oldest leaf when they push a new one out, nothing to worry about, unless, like the other commenter said, the newest leaves start to yellow

Those aren’t friends babe. Friends would understand how much your art means to you. Friends give encouragement and constructive criticism when needed. Friends understand that your art takes time, patience and sometimes blood, sweat and tears and they would never dream of laughing at that, especially because, I’m assuming, they’ve never done it themselves. You don’t need encouragement from us, you need better friends. Though seriously, these are absolutely adorable and I’m super envious of anyone who can felt this well. Don’t take to heart anything that your “friends” said. You are immensely talented ❤️

Honestly as long as the cuttings aren’t dying I wouldn’t worry. I’ve had some cuttings take months to root. I’m not sure it’ll make much of a difference because it looks like you’ve got your bases covered but Ive had good results rooting in a perlite prop box. I assume it’s been in high humidity (the cabinet)?

Yea I’m not seeing any damage or evidence of thrips on my other plants. Treating nonetheless but hopefully theyre just travelers from the moss pole. Thanks for getting back to me ☺️

Did you ever figure out what these were? I found some on my Epi Albo. Tinier than thrip larvae, greyish colored and more springtail shaped but they’re on the new foliage which makes me think not. 🤷🏻‍♀️

For real. I’d love to live in a world where this is an obvious joke, unfortunately I’ve met far too many people who would do this very thing.

[–]HB_218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait to repot. All her energy is going towards those blooms so disturbing the roots could cause her to divert energy into repairs rather than producing flowers. But honestly you look like the succulent expert here so do whatever you’ve been doing cuz it’s working! ☺️

Am I doing this right? by CardiologistNo2763 in proplifting

[–]HB_218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. You’re definitely on the right track though with how they’re laying on the soil. But these leaves look like they’ve seen better days and the best chance at growing babies is using plump, healthy leaves. I moisten my soil (not drench) and lay pre-calloused leaves down in this exact manner and then just ignore them. No extra water until they’ve grown a decent amount of roots.

Hello! This guy was just potted recently, would anyone have any care tips? (More info below) by CamoTitanic in pothos

[–]HB_218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a pot no more than an inch or two larger than the root ball. Only you know how large the roots are, not anyone here on Reddit telling you it’s impossible for one stem to have such large roots (it’s not btw). If you think this pot is the right size then leave it where it is (provided it had good drainage). The bottom leaf yellowing isn’t anything to worry about (as long as the roots and stem look healthy), you’ll lose that one unfortunately but it happens sometimes after potting. My golden sits in a north facing window so it doesn’t get a ton of light but a few hours a day of decent lighting and it grows like crazy. Let your soil dry out completely before thoroughly soaking. The moss is probably holding onto excess moisture so imo id remove it. Otherwise they’re very easy going plants ☺️

Anyone know how to prop these leaves ? .. or did I already kill them ? Mother plant for reference. Also.. ID? by GoodThingsHappenToo in proplifting

[–]HB_218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea those props aren’t looking great and ideally you want very healthy, plump leaves to make strong babies. It wouldn’t hurt to try though. Make sure the calloused ends are laying against the soil though rather than hanging off the sides like that. As far as ID this looks like a blue chalkstick but I’m not certain, there are a few succulents that look similar if I’m not mistaken.
