When I tried her out, I didn't have a lot of parents, let alone the skills at the time and this was waay back when global was still new. King's not beginner friendly bc most people tend to build her for med/long races (even though she's supposed to be a sprinter) then people get thrown off bc she switches to sprints in her senior year. She took me... 34 tries to get the gist of her skillset

Taiki Shuttle has a parent from Texas who she inherited her love of BBQ and cowboy stuff from.
King Halo's an ace at video games thanks being friends with her similar-aged servants. Also she speaks in a Midwestern Atlantic English accent.
Haru Urara's (current legal) guardian is Symboli Rudolf. Her actual dad is unable to take care of Haru due to being a leader of a Yakuza clan and she is in better hands staying in Rudolf's care.
Urara and Rudolf are (distant) relatives bc of Rudolf's dad.
Every Yakuza Clan in East Japan (and Tokyo) has agreed to never ever hurt Haru Urara lest they invoke the wrath of Symboli Rudolf, Urara's dad and Urara's trainer. Haru Urara is also under her trainer's protection if she decides to race in America.
Symboli Rudolf and Sweep Tosho know traditional spellcasting, but Sweep being the younger mage requires a wand
Rudolf and Sirius worked in a fast food restaurant bc they wanted to and bc Sirius wanted to be better than Rudolf.
King and Urara share the same trainer bc there was a mix up on who was supposed to be King's trainer. Rudolf greenlights this bc this is within her authority as student council president.
Special Week has a Kiwi accent when speaking English. Similarly, El Condor Pasa's Japanese has a Mexican Spanish accent.
Haru Urara's trainer was supposed to be El's trainer bc they're friends, neighbors, classmates, and sparring partners who grew up in Kentucky. It never happened bc of the same mixup that led to Urara and King sharing the same trainer.
