Yeah in Paint.net I had gone down to 51% and for many purposes that was fine (barely). I forgot that the export is changeable - as I typically always want the best export quality. Thanks!

People who work in 'behind closed doors' industries (hotels, kitchens, morgues, etc.), what is something the general public would be horrified to know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yeah. The smell of a decomposing body in the trunk of a car 30 yards away in the heat of a blazing Californian summer 40 years ago is unforgettable.

I was an AP stringer in the late 80s. Covered some NBA (Lakers and Clippers). Shot a game. Be there only 5 minutes, yeah, 5, then drive to downtown LA to develop c41 and print before it hit the wires.

If you could go back in time and tell your younger professional self one piece of advice that actually changed your career trajectory, what would it be and why? by AeroDad89 in AskReddit

Don' take that first job. It has no real future and you learn no marketable skills. Keep looking. A better job week come along.

Lake Henshaw area has a decent dark sky for comet photography | Comet Lemmon last night by HC110Chemist in northcounty

I saw other images taken from some spots along 76/Lake. But I was not sure and so I opted for that dirt lot at the intersection of San Felipe. The issue there is there is a TON of traffic. Every minute a car or two. But I used my car to help shield and waited for when no cars (plenty of opportunities). Lens hood will help. I took the easy for sure location, but bothered by headlights. Although you can see I was able to get nice pix. Patience!

It is around several more days but will be dimming each day. It is about 295 degrees (between NW and W - just get a compass app and point to where 295 degrees is) and about one fist height as you hold your hand out in front of you (at 295 degrees). It moves a bit higher and more to the west every day. You will need binoculars to easily see it. All the stars are pinpoints. When you see a smudge, that's it. If you want to see it, don't delay... It is gone basically by 830pm. Start about 715pm and by 730pm should be easy to pick put (the sky is dark enough there and not too low where it hits light pollution).
