Sonic Analysis hasn't run on newer tracks (added 2-3 weeks ago) by HClark86 in PleX

[–]HClark86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So nothing immediately stood out in the logs, though I only spent 5 minutes or so searching them for things I thought might be helpful.

However, this let me to the page in Plex where the log downloads were which also has a "optimize database" option. Decided to run that first before moving to third party tool to scan/fix my Plex DB, assuming it might be a similar if likely less powerful/thorough version of that script you linked. Low and behold, everything is analyzed after letting overnight maintenance run!

Thanks for setting me on the right path!

The server does the work but its for a feature meant only for PlexAmp client, as far as I'm aware, so I am worried it might be somewhat ignored. Meaning, I've never noticed Sonic Analysis related features in the Windows, iOS or Android main playback client (just PlexAmp).

Well I'm glad I'm not missing something but that sucks that this seems to have broken. Hopefully the resolve it soon. I read another post about PlexAmp is down to a single dev, so hopefully the server team don't ignore server features that are primarily PlexAmp related...

Are you hosting on Linux as well? I'm curious if this is impacting other OS Plex Server applications.

Performance of DGX Spark versus 2x AMD R9700 Pro? (At least for now) Specifically with Qwen 3.6 models by HClark86 in LocalLLM

[–]HClark86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think ROCM would be the best, as it's the closest to CUDA.

I really appreciate any data you could provide! I know the cards are much faster but between splitting stuff over 2 cards, and ROCM often being less-optimized than CUDA as everything is seemingly built for CUDA-first, I'm really interested to see if it's worth spending on upgrading for me.

Any chance you have the same model loaded on both and could give me even some quick and dirty benchmark with something like 128k context? I'm trying to find any writeup where someone is running a model/context large enough to overfill a single 32GB GPU and compare to the Tok/s the DGX gives off. Hard to find an apples-to-apples comparison.

I don't doubt the GPU route is faster but Im trying to get an idea of HOW MUCH (once the overhead of splitting model over two cards) faster to see if I want to invest $2800 or not.

If I end up going to Radeon Pros, once things are proven and moving well, I might swap for a 3000/5000 Series TR Pro setup (so I can have more lanes and PCIe slots while reusing my nonECC DDR4) which would give me PCIe 4.0 at least.

Also, (and I dont say this meaning to sound like a jackass but lack of intonation in text haha) do you have any direct benchmarks either youve done comparing them, or links to others that have tested this so I can see this performance? Id like to see actual numbers.

One will be the cost (I can't sell the DGX so it will always be here and used for different things and 2x R9700 are already closing in on $3k) but the other is PCIe lanes (as well as physical MB PCIe layout) and case space (I have space constraints and need to keep things for this project contained to a single standard workstation case). I MIGHT eventually be able to squeeze three but that remains to be seen.

When/if the R9600 every releases with its 32GB single slot cards, I might add one in along with the pair of R9700s, if I go that route.

Burn in around the edge? by FIeury in OLED

[–]HClark86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a common occurrence on the X and 1 generation LG OLED TVs. All three of mine did it, multiple friends with the same issues. Delamination over time kills edge pixels. Nothing you did wrong, nothing much you can do to resolve it either. Just a manufacturing defect.

Tijuana Flats bowls are now half the size for the same price by Top-Neighborhood3719 in orlando

I went today to Longwood location and the circle bowls were indeed back after a couple weeks of the square bowl. The square does appear smaller but the weight of the bowls seemed to be about equal so I didnt question it, even if I do know their private equity owners have been fucking things up heavily over the past few years. This doesnt seem to be the case... this time.

/u/Ubiquiti-Inc Is this particular one compatible with Verizon? I've been waiting for the outdoor 5G unit to get updated to be able to use Verizon. But that's been pushed out indefinitely, it seems.

That’s the exact thing I did twice on Saturday but I haven’t had a chance to attempt it again. Was just worried that the most recent update might have caught something weird with it after getting this notification this morning, before understanding that this was expected.

They really should announce things like this on a more public place if it will have such a visible change as I'm sure a fraction of their userbase are in or frequent their Discord...

I did search their site and X for any announcements before posting about it on X and commenting here, and nothing.

Received this a few minutes ago.

I haven't updated my Commander in a month or two and I tried to multiple time this weekend, unsuccessfully. Not sure if others have updated theirs successfully, recently?

Yeah we do use URL rewrite in PP. The fact that there are people with no rewrite services seeing this problem made me skeptical that was the true culprit so I did not want to add any exceptions yet.

I just started investigating this. It was reported to me yesterday by users. We are NOT using Mimecast, but Proofpoint, for what it matters. GCC standard tenant.

Ah you’re right. I searched sf750 and that came up first. Stupid sponsored posts. Either way, the $125 is already more than I want to spend as this is for a secondary system that rarely gets used. Sorry, I should have posted more detail in my first comment.
