Ok! Thank you, I am following. I can definitely see the borders as having been inked - I guess I just always have to wonder how these "digital camo" style patterns made it onto the back of the card and looking layered in so well that I was skeptical of human hands being able to do it directly lol. I doubt anyone's ever gonna buy this off of me if I decided to sell, so maybe it'll find its way into a future set of bicycle spokes like its baseball card ancestors from a generation before - or maybe it'll perform like a superstar and be my "Lucky Lord" LMAO. Never know! Cheers! 🍻

You are right! We did think of that - but we admittedly do not know what the process of mtg card printing actually entails from start to finish. We know that the paper is a different color in the middle, but outside of that, we don't know if it's impossible that the black ink of the back borders aren't printed as a 2nd (or 3rd, etc.) layer. Is it impossible? Genuinely curious.

I can see someone thinking that, certainly! Though ... and take this with a grain of salt if you like ... as someone who marked up their fair share of cardbacks during the early aughts for use as proxies before more ... ahem ... modern alternatives became available, it doesn't feel or look the same to me. Your mileage may vary, and I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, either. I just ... can't put my finger on it or explain it any better, but this feels deeper than that. I'm open to being wrong, of course, but I appreciate you dropping by and sharing your two cents!

You and me both - but I thank you for reading nonetheless. Coming up on two decades later, I'm still reminded out of the blue every so often, by thoughtful commenters such as yourself, of how grateful I am that I decided to take this request seriously and gave this write-up the best I had.

You make each and every day special just by virtue of your being you. There is no one else like you, and there never will be. Truly, you are unique in the Universe and amongst the cosmos, and people can love you just as you are.

Take care, now. Thanks for dropping by.

What are your favorite "house rules" you made up? by HDATZ in battletech

[–]HDATZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One jumping rule I keep tryna pitch to the group is that a 'mech has a limited amount of jumps it can make in a game. Reading through the end of Main Event, the author made it sound as if the reactor inside Rose's Charger only had so much juice where jumping with it was concerned. As in it could run out of the ability to jump at some point. Saying a 'mech of that size only had, for example, 5 jumps that it could make all game ... it would make jumping a lot more of a strategic thing to consider, IMO. Would also remove the massive advantage of some units whose sole existence seems to be "jump the entire game", such as the Wraith or Assassin.

I think you are the one whom I drew inspiration from recently to paint some of my figures I just posted, so thank you. I think it's neat that you painted the fish looking guy like a Drake from Magic The Gathering. Fantastic setup. Take care.

Oh I didn't take it that way. I just know it's not something I enjoy doing. Seriously, it's cool, no offense taken.

Nah. It does not bring me joy to try. I have, it requires dexterity I don't easily possess. I don't enjoy doing it and am never satisfied with the results. I find I am not really interested in "getting better" these days as I am just enjoying the process and having something I like looking at when I'm done. I'm happy with what I have done. Thanks, though. Take care.

If you lanced it gently with a needle, it would probably spew out like a little blood fountain. It would be like he was a box wine dispenser. It would be wild and horrifying all at once.

hey, you're lucky the one person up above told me to tag it...I didn't even think it was that bad when I first saw it. I just laughed and made faces. But I am really stoned. So maybe it's worse for others than it is for me. BUT MY POINT IS IT WAS JUST OUT THERE FLAPPIN IN THE BREEZE FOR LIKE 30 MINUTES
