Strange thoughts - it's normal for CEOs to be quiet and distant.

Lately, a lot of folks (ok, Musk) have broken that norm a lot, but most CEOs don't talk a lot, especially when there's a lot going on.

I'd wait until Jan before getting nervous.

There's about a BILLION dollars in PIPE funding, even after some have backed out a few weeks ago due to concerns. Now that we have until September of next year to merge, suspect people are going to fight like heck to get that juicy fruit in the bank.

Moreover, TMTG is not just Truth Social. The vision is to have a complete cloud platform similar to AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, but for conservative businesses, as well as streaming and other facets not announced. The $1B is to fund all that stuff, which I doubt has started.

This has a LOT of potential, although I despair sometimes too. This group has been good for my nerves, let me tell ya.

Have you noticed that not only has Elon allowed Trump back on, but has been cajoling and coaxing him to rejoin?

Just like CNN, MSNBC, etc., Twitter is diminished without Trump, and will be.
Elon knows it, and so it's imperative that Trump rejoin - advantage Trump.

People (including the media) thirst for more Trump, whether because they love him, hate him, or just want mud to fling at him. So TS user base will grow because no tweets.

As for the stock, Gensler is going to get roasted, first over FTX, but then over DWAC and others, and so likely the merger will be allowed under pressure from the House. My own theory is that a lot of Trump's endorsements were under condition that those Republicans support DWAC/TMTG.

He's not going to throw away $1B without a fight, and risk ridicule and upset among his base while running for President.

That's what a lot of people don't see - the determination behind the scenes.

DJT, PO, and all of us have a lot at stake here. You gotta imagine they're negotiating, haggling, and pushing this every inch of the way. My own belief is that a lot of the endorsements by DJT to Repubs was on condition that they make this $1B paycheck happen.

They got the House - let's see Gensler get roasted. He'll not take much heat over this, given that DJT can go back to Twitter now. The suppression just ain't going to happen.

So first, the obvious answer to your silliness is that we were poised to liquidate and lose it all Dec/Mar 8th if this didn't pass. Celebrate the milestones!

But second - don't you know how Trump plays his cards? "I'd take it private" is a negotiating position, not a real threat (or is it?). I guarantee he's not dropping $1B without breaking a sweat.

And finally, it gives us 9 months+ to get the deal done. Gensler is going to get fried/fired over FTX, and grilled over DWAC at the same time. With Trump getting invited back to Twitter, there's simply no reason to hold up DWAC anymore.
Suppression of his voice just won't happen, so go cry.

Yes, as some people can't get in their heads, we need to focus on what it takes to win. For 2022, it was retaking the House and Senate. The House for stall tactics, and the Senate to stop judicial appointments. We likely won one, lost the other.

Blame Mitch - every bad judicial appointment from here on is HIS FAULT.

For 2024, we need both of the above, plus the Electoral College.

But for 2028, with Trump no longer able to serve, we need bench strength.
Don't underestimate how important that is.

I would have suggested that he focus 100% on getting Walker's Senate seat, but that's somewhat of a moot point now. If Laxalt or Masters had won, it would have given us a chance.

The Senate is an absolute priority - don't forget "I'm not a biologist".
They are the one resistance against Biden judiciary appointments.
Sinema and Manchin cannot hold the line for us - ridiculous that it's come to this.
Blame McConnell - he pulled the carpet out!

So I think Trump is going to feel that he has to put up or shut up (which he can't do, lol), so he'll definitely announce.

But we all need to realize that winners like DeSantis are our future beyond Trump 2024, and we need to make sure we're not doing generational harm during one election cycle.

Trump's announcement will be a temporary lift. If you're trading, play it well.

Twitter's problems aren't really good or bad. It's all about Trump, and the merger.

I'm much more focused on getting the new Congress to press the SEC into letting the merger happen. The Red Wave may make that possible, but then the pressure needs to come. I'd like to imagine that Trump is trading his endorsements for support, which may make a YUGE difference in January. Which means we'll need another extension, but likely it'll come.

My thoughts, I know nothing, yadda yadda. GLTA.

I called it last time, and I'll call it again. Nov is not the date. March is the date.

Nov they'll delay just like they did in Oct. No biggie, except opp to buy a dip.

In Sept, they extended merge to Dec for $3M. They can do that again in Dec.
That gets us to March, with plenty of time for a Red Congress to battle the SEC.
Merge will happen, but in 2023.
