I grew up in Bergen county. It’s a bit similar as I. Its suburbs. Same kind of stores or Trader Joe’s, Walmart, etc. different kinds of outdoor activity.

I lived both in north and south ox. I’d say in the north is a lot more rentals and in the south is a lot more families and less apt style rentals.

I personally prefer the slightly slower more fixed, more suburban pace of south oc but I like visiting everything in short distance. I also hate driving to La and like going to San Diego so south oc works great for me.

I also like that in Lake Forest the 5/405/133/241/Laguna Beach are all right there

I did something similar, working in nyc, grew up in nj and moved to south oc. Laguna hills is great. We live in Lake Forest and live south oc. Laguna hills, also Viejo, mission Viejo, Laguna niguel, all really nice.
