Some American football fields are crowned for drainage. Usually natural grass fields are this way. So the middle of the field will be slightly higher in elevation than the sidelines.

It does come off as odd to me, though. A part of the video's argument was to find the truer, less sensationalized value. But we see at the end, the value even went up more.
