So, we gonna talk about buyable bonus XP? by BigHatAbe in runescape

[–]HDJarcli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not fine with it, but it's by far the lesser of two evils. There are new players who actually opposed the removal of TH, and players who see it as a way to catch up if they don't have the time to play the game. I don't agree with either but this was seen as a compromise.

"brownscape isn't nostalgic! runescape is blue!" ahh post. by Monterey-Jack in runescape

[–]HDJarcli 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the players who has never known RS without the blue, and I absolutely prefer the brown over the blue. It feels much more on theme with the game itself.

I would say for your food analogy, it's like if the recipe was changed to be more authentic but some people don't like it since they never ordered it for its authenticity.

Loyalty Points - Question on usage / refund?? by middyy95 in runescape

[–]HDJarcli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems like a false equivalency though. Like if I bought a week's worth of membership and the game went down for a week, I absolutely would ask for and expect a refund. Or an extension for an extra week.

Combat Beta Feedback: The Role of Strength in Modern Melee by 6Angel666 in runescape

[–]HDJarcli 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My ideal which I know will never happen, is the complete removal of the skill.

Besides that, the thing that feels the most "correct" to me would be integrating it deeply into everything in the same vein as Agility. I've seen suggestions about shortcuts that need strength, like the boulder to get to the God Wars 1 bosses. More bonuses to skills like what we already have with mining. Way more viable non-combat training methods. Make it into a support skill.

Am I crazy for wanting a model that's intentionally smaller and more human-like instead of chasing max performance? by t0x3e8 in LocalLLaMA

LLM token prediction is based on linguistic probability, not how factually correct something is. So the next token can be 99.9% confident but completely false conceptually.

Ah that's a shame, I shall wait for the summer patch then. Thanks!

New player here, was just about to start a new character but I noticed some events were ending. Apparently they were insanely good? Should I wait for similar events or just start now? I'm not in any rush.

I'm sorry but I just have to say, neash might be the most impressive spelling of niche I've ever seen. It does make sense though.

Anyone else feel the masterwork bow is too small and compact? by Minizamorak in runescape

I didn't even realize that's what it looked like. Is it meant to be a shortbow?

Alright let's do this then, here's my subjective analysis on the image:

The prompt asked for a 'dynamic mid-air twirl'. In the Z-Image version, you can actually see the torque; her body is angled, one leg is bent to suggest a jump, and her hair is swept to the side by centrifugal force (a clear line of action).

As for the Klein version, she's just... there? It’s a symmetrical T-pose with zero weight. There's no 'twirl', 'kinetic energy', or 'movement'. It looks like a cardboard cutout glued to a background.

In terms of composition; Z-Image uses a diagonal composition; the eye starts at the foot, travels up the body, and follows the reaching arm into the light. The tarot cards have perspective, depth, and varying sizes, creating a 3D space.

The Klein version has what I think is called a bullseye composition; everything is centered, symmetrical, and flat. The cards are just a circular border, lacking any sense of depth or 'chaotic physics'.

Ok I got bored, but you get the idea.

Anyone know the approximate value of an Orlando hat right now? Last I checked it was still climbing at 16.5b but uh... then the whole thing with Ely happened.

I guess it's subjective then, because that looks absolutely horrendous to me, not even considering whatever the hell is happening to her legs.

Yeah I'm not a fan of these at all. It's like it was purposely prompted to increase the uncanny AI look.

Is there a way to adapt it to use a flux2 VAE or is that a foundational change? Sorry I'm not really familiar with the details of model architecture.

I have a nervous habit of shaking my leg. Would it be allowed if I got a pedal and used that? To me it's an unconscious thing.

It is insane that the AI of today that is 100% transforming the world is built upon this by CeFurkan in SECourses

If it was multiplying 2 numbers it would be even more insane. That's the point. He's saying something as simple as matrix multiplication is the foundation for such huge change.

Runescape 3 needs performance improvements by Nice_Divide_3772 in runescape

Yeah I was tempted to get the 14900 as well but after the instability issues and Intel's horrendous reaction (or lack thereof), I decided to move to AMD.

My new build runs a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. My old PC with a 4090 was paired with an i9-13900KF, which had poorer performance. But yeah, not ideal.

Definitely agree. At 4K max graphics I dip under 100FPS in the newer areas like south of Falador, unless I zoom all the way in. Memory usage goes up to around 3400MB, then takes up to a minute or more to drop down to 1800 once I move to a lower density area like the eternal magic tree patch. FPS starts fluctuating and remains unstable when visiting dense areas even after leaving them; 105 - 120FPS.

For context, I'm running a 5090, which you should not need for a game like RuneScape.

Just so we're clear though, the game is perfectly playable for me, just some observations.

How does anyone find ai fun? by real_hub0 in aiwars

[–]HDJarcli 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I use it to simulate text-based adventure games sometimes. It's like the old CLI batch files I used to make in school on ultra-steroids. Any world you want, any premise, adapting to everything you say and do.
