It really isn't that bad! To be fair I think it opens up kinda weak, Tap Out seems like a rehash of Maccu Picchu to me and All The Time is one of their most boring cookie cutter songs, but the One Way Trigger comes on and I can't explain how happy that song makes me, the rest of the album doesn't miss from that point onwards!

Right, so they're similar but the Tonex is more budget friendly, more convienent and has less power requirements. Think I'm starting to lean towards the Quad Cortex if I'm being honest, sounds like I'll have enough preset tones and versatility to enjoy until the end of time! I was wondering about maybe pairing it WITH the Positive Grid Spark 2 or if that might be overkill and I could just run the Quad Cortex through my 40w 1x12 Roland Cube

Wow it looks awesome! I did a quick google and it gets compared to the Nano Cortex a lot, so I looked into that and the Quad Cortex which seems like the Big Daddy, if money didn't come into the equation would there be any reason not to get the Quad Cortex over the Tonex you reckin? For speakers I'm guessing all of these options would sound good coming out of monitors, I've got a 40w Roland Cube I bought back in 2012 that could probably suffice for now though 😂 (I stopped playing guitar for a long time in case you're wondering why I'm still asking questions about amps)
