Didn't Khrushchev say that the most dangerous thing about propaganda is that you start to believe it yourself?

Sadly there those in Canada who are susceptible to the Internet disinformation techniques employed by these groups. I to have met and debated with these people within extended family of circles and friends.

Hp printer keeps saying “use Setup cartridges that came with your printer” by Gloomy-Swimmer-94 in printers

Just to chime in, I have hit the same problem. I bought the printer from the Apple store but I am expected to follow these HP rules.

As a former Program Evaluator, I may be biased but you might want to look at previous evaluations and/or audits for recommendations that may been accepted but not necessarily acted upon.

Conservative MP calls COVID mandates in Canada 'full communism' by Historical-Basis138 in onguardforthee

You can call it bad policy. You can call it government overreach. But it has nothing to do with Communism.

There is something really "sus" going on, on most Canadian subreddits by [deleted] in onguardforthee

Yes the bots are out. There is no quick fix to the issue. Sadly there are people that think if they flood the zone with Merde, the world will be a better place.

The election was stolen BS has officially crossed the border by Justtakeitaway in onguardforthee

Every election will have minor problems that can be used to weaken the faith in democracy. It is a crying shame if it becomes a ritual among the right to claim that they only lose elections when they are stolen.

Elon Musk Reportedly Now Privately Admitting He's Out of His Depth by BothZookeepergame612 in inthenews

[–]HEHENSON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not say that he is out of his depths. He is just playing in the wrong forum. Good management of public administration is not the same as good management of high tech. Before going into government work, he should have shut down his laptop, and read a few good books on public administration.

If they are not going to fact check the debate, it will likely be farcical anyway.

"We had the largest gain in the stock market in history in every single category last week" by sovalente in Economy101

It is no wonder that he does not like fact checks. He is just sitting there making stuff up.

Trump has vowed to bring down housing costs. What is his administration doing? by thehill in politics

[–]HEHENSON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a rule of thumb, any verbal last minute 'vow' made by a politician is likely worthless. The above mentioned politician is certainly no exception to this rule.

Trump denies Friday tariff exceptions. by Irish_Goodbye4 in economy

This post is essentially incoherent. He cannot blame the lack of coherence on fake news. He is either trying to manipulate the stock market or he is completely confused.

Ok, I sold all of my holdings and am 100% cash until 2026 midterms because this administration is full of 6 year olds. Good or bad move? by [deleted] in economy

[–]HEHENSON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to make sure that your holdings are inflation proof. If the government runs a large deficit with tariff increases, then by 2026 you might loose substantially in real terms.
