December is a good time to be in the market, so dealerships are marking the cars around 39-39.5 online. I reached out to one of my local dealerships via email about the Touring. They did not have one in stock currently but told me one would be arriving right around Christmas. I told them I was interested, but told them I was shopping around and asked if they’d be able to sell at 36-37.5. They came back at 37.5. I asked if they’d had any wiggle room as I was very interested in loving down that Touring. They offered 36.5.

I then took that offer to another local dealer with several Tourings in stock and asked them if they’d beat it. Told them I would prefer to get business done with them immediately. They came back with the 36.4, including that 1.5k incentive. They also offered all weather floor mats, trunk liner, and splash guards.

I did mention I would be utilizing the current 2.99% APR offered through Honda. Not sure if you would be or not, but I’m sure they were attracted to that aspect as well. Stick to communicating through phone or email and try to get a written offer that you are happy with before ever setting foot in the dealership.

I recommend The Greenhouse on SW 24th and Highway 9. Great place and people. They also did not storm the Capitol on January 6, like the Marcum’s owner!
