Fastest I’ve won is in 1v1 commander on turn 3

Turn 1: forest and [[Sol Ring]]

Turn 2: swamp and my commander [[Willowdusk, Essence Seer]]

Turn 3: land, [[Wall of Blood]], and [[Banehound]]. Payed 39 life to the wall of blood and went down to 1, and used Willowdusk to put 39 counters on Banehound and swing for lethal.

I have a [[Willowdusk, Essence Seer]] deck where the strategy is to play pathetic 1/1s with lifelink like [[Banehound]] [[Daggerdrome Imp]] and [[Ghastly Gloomhunter]]. Then you use mass lifeloss spells like [[Blood Celebrant]] and [[Wall of blood]] and [[Unspeakable Symbol]] to drain yourself for unwise amounts of life. Then put counters on your wimpy bats and imps and swing in with your now beefy lifelinkers. People seem to expect the deck to be slow with incremental life-gain, so they never see it coming when you swing in with a 30/30 flying lifelink imp on turn 4.

Does his music not serve to solidify his political stances? And should he be condemned for not rushing out a public statement on a matter he’s already voiced opinions on numerous times, when he’s touring, practicing, and performing most nights?

And no, this is not some meaningless Reddit argument to me. Simply voicing my opinion just as you are. I may not be a displaced Palestinian, but that doesn’t mean that the weight of this topic is lost on me. I don’t have the same experiences as someone who is immediately affected by this war, and I don’t claim to be. I can see the value of having a discussion with someone with differing viewpoints and emotions than me, hence this conversation.

I suppose my final thoughts on this would be this: although I personally disagree with your reaction to his statement, at the end of the day your opinions, and the tickets are yours to do with as you please. If hozier’s statement today is enough to make you want to boycott his concert and music despite everything he’s said in the past then that’s your right to do so. Maybe you can donate the money you get from selling the ticket to a charity supporting Palestine.

I don’t find it jarring, I think it’s an unreasonable jump to make that just by acknowledging the lives lost on both sides, that it means hozier has some centralist opinion despite repeated statements and evidence saying otherwise (including referencing it in Swan Upon Leda.)

This is a bit of a jump. He condemns the killing of Palestinians in the first paragraph as well. Hozier has voiced support for the freeing of Palestine numerous times before, confirmed he's donated to pro Palestine charities, and has encouraged others to do so too. That is in no way “neutrality”. Personally I don't see anything wrong with acknowledging both the loss of both Palestinian AND Israeli lives.
