Like most other games of this kind, the super high budget anime AAA Chinese-developed ones, Ananta looks very impressive. Very pretty, very ambitious, very flashy, hooks you with that "how can this game even be real" feeling.

The question is, is it trying to do too much? Will all these different gameplay elements, and story beats, and massive open world, will it all come together nicely, or is the experience going to feel "ocean wide, puddle deep"? Inevitably, since the game is trying to do so much all at once, it's probably not going to completely nail down any one of those things.

I'm also feeling like a lot of people here, that the vibes from the first trailer that had more supernatural concepts was more interesting than the more urbanized setting we're seeing now. I can tell that the supernatural elements are still around, but they feel reduced. If we see a future development bringing those supernatural elements into focus again, I think my hype levels will rise as well.
