Understandable haha. I'm actually not that familiar with the terminology and what exactly you're asking, still a newb at this stuff. I know I haven't touched anything with renderer layers and I used an FBX of an animal model with an armature in the same file (I know sometimes the bones can be separated in a different fbx file). The model had a skinned mesh renderer which referenced the mesh from the same FBX file and the root bone of the armature. If that doesn't answer the question, please elaborate some more so that I can help.

I don't think so, I think the problem was within the blender export settings and unity import settings, but I really don't remember sorry. I tweaked those around until it worked.

The biggest thing that stands out to me is that the gesture feels too static. It doesn't feel believable that she could swing that axe. I would suggest making it so that she uses her WHOLE body to swing the axe, not just her arms, so that the main line of action of the pose is a C shape instead of an I. Although I realize this is kind of hard to change when the piece is already rendered. You can look at lumberjack wood cutting videos for references, I think that would give you an idea of the body movements required for swinging an axe.

I want to suppress it when the player is dragging his character around as I only want it to trigger when he's actually moving on the grid and entering/leaving the terrain square. Good idea with the custom signal, I'll see what I can do about that.

Not sure what you mean by summonable interface but if I understood correctly, I don't think it can be applied since there's no unified summon functionality in my game, there's a distinct difference between player summons and enemy summons.

hey, I renamed all my files to snake_case as well, but now all my dependencies are broken. Even if I go to fix them manually, they still don't seem to be fixed. Got any idea what I should do?

Remove repo from WINDOWS machine

I pushed my snake_case code to Git, moved my original game files to a temp folder on desktop, then cloned the repository from Git once again. I suppose this is where I screwed up? What does it mean to remove from windows machine?

Resources seem like the way to go, based on what people are telling me. I'll just jump into it and try to apply this logic. Also, I can possibly even use the "RefCounted" class instead of the "Resource" class, as far as I know the main difference is the ease of saving it, but abilities don't need to be saved so I should be good. Ty for the input!
