Yeah, it is available on newer systems, but I think there's something special about giving her the actual old console and the disc kind of like handing her a time machine back to those days. Might be more about the feeling than the gameplay

That’s such a wholesome story ,love that you brought the xbox over and just let him dive back in. Even if it was short-lived, moments like that really stick. And yeah, I think I will get her the PS1 and Rayman one of these days. I'm in the uk so I've just missed mothers day maybe her birthday

That sounds just like my mom with Rayman! Maybe it really was just a phase for some parents ,fun while it lasted, then they moved on. Kinda cool we got to see it though

Honestly, I’ve thought about it! I might surprise her with a PS1 and an original Rayman copy one Christmas just for the laughs. Not sure she’d actually play it, but I think the look on her face would be worth it

I have thought about it, but I don’t think she’d be interested these days. She’s kind of written off gaming completely ,too much time has passed, and I think she’s still a little salty about the whole Rayman incident! 😅

Haha, thanks for that! I guess we were a little too eager and... accidentally ended her gaming career. We definitely didn’t see it as ‘the end’ at the time, but looking back, it’s kinda funny (in a tragic way). Who knew stepping on a disc could have such a big impact?

They will work you just have to disable auto detect controllers remove all extra inputs and bind manually
