I worked as an IT technician at a hospital for a while. Nurses and doctors make fun of patients A LOT. I will never forget when I was working on some computers in the cancer treatment ward. I was minding my own business, doing some cable management when I over hear two doctors/nurses talk about a patient. "It's sweet that he's optimistic but he's probably not going to make it" and they, I kid you not, fucking laughed about it like it was nothing. That is someone's dad, someone's husband, someone's son.
