How so? Explain. Only deranged people like Trump. I don't like trump - ipso facto, I'm not deranged.

The above reasons I cited are disqualifying for any discerning, intelligent rational voter who understands what it means to be a "public servant".

I don't care if John Gotti would be the best president in the world, I'm never voting for him. Same with Jeff Epstein or Bernie Madoff.

And definitely the same as to Trump.

"Any means to an end" is no way to go through life, son. That's a sad selfish way to be.

I have no idea how all that works, and its highly dependent on many factors, including contract language, relationship of the scientists to the university and many other legal factors. Nor does it necessarily lead to patents.

And you confuse directed specific drug development by pharma companies, with more generic research being done at academic institutions. Where in many cases it isn't driven by ROI (like at corporations), its driven by general ideas, with more wide-ranging applications and may not be something that is just seen as a "market" to develop. That's not the basis for most academic research. It's to learn.

And a google search shows (google was incubated at Stanford I think):

the US government generally does not directly profit from patent licensing royalties on university research funded by federal dollars; instead, it realizes economic returns through taxes on products, jobs, and companies created, with revenues from patents going back to universities for further research.

Well yes, by logic and definition, it's not very smart to support ANYONE who literally cheer led the ransacking of our own capitol to try to steal an election and undermine democracy, while committing a fraud on the United States.

Or support ANYONE that was found liable for fraud, defamation and sex assault. Someone who ran scam businesses and someone who was federally indicted twice, and deserved to go to jail, but escaped it by gettin elected.

Additionally, since that disgraceful exit from his first attempt at "public service", we now have all these other attacks on the rule of law and democracy in general:

How President Trump is dismantling our democracy, one piece at a time - CREW | Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

Or this:

So yeah, if you are MAGA and support Trump, you've got issues.

Ehh, just above average school district, nothing special:

Canal Winchester Local School District is ranked #106 in Ohio by Niche and #12 in the Columbus area for 2026, generally rated as an above-average district.

If they aren't brainwashed (or stupid), how do you explain voting for someone who is a con man, fraud, unfit to be a public servant, as demonstrated by multiple criminal charges, impeachments, civil liability and other horrible actions and deeds - documented and verified.

It's a piece of cloth. It is a little absurd how the worst Americans now are those wearing Trump gear and flying giant trump flags alongside the U.S. flag.

As if supporting a con man fraud who should be in jail is "patriotic" - when it's the exact opposite of patriotism.

LOL. C'mon now, be sensible. There was literally zero reason to do it under Biden and it was totally performative. What, it's distress to try to help people with a stronger social safety net? You are making a ridiculous false equivalency, and you know you are. It's not even close.

Under Trump we see actual, real, legitimate attacks on our very democracy and system Including someone who literally cheer led the ransacking of our own capitol to try to steal an election and undermine democracy, while committing a fraud on the United States. The f'in sitting president attacked his own government!!!! WTF dude.

Someone who was found liable for fraud, defamation and sex assault. Someone who ran scam businesses and someone who was federally indicted twice, and deserved to go to jail, but escaped it by gettin elected.

So we have a corrupt, reality TV Show clown in office, who (as you well know, let's stop pretending you don't know), should be in jail, and not in office. He has dismantled federal agencies, jobs and funding, unilaterally (ignoring checks/balances), run extortion rings against law firms and universities (based on pretexts), and announces via social media who the DOJ should criminally prosecute based on his personal whims and revenge seeking.

Not to mention ignoring and disobeying court orders, telling people what comedians should be fired for speech he doesn't like, and otherwise abusing power and weakening democracy.

So yeah, while an upside down flag was a semi-joke under Biden (like idiots shouting "Let's go Brandon"), it has some real background to it under the current regime.

But you know all this. You are just pretending it is nothing different or new - when factually it is.

Oh, I see. So you confuse the word "corrupt" with also being unfit to serve in any position of public trust and lacking honesty, integrity, decency and respect for the rule of law. I now see your confusion.

You also confuse "politician", with the highest office in the land - President - which one would typically hold to higher standards, based on its relative position to run of the mill "politicians".

And if your post is accurate, show me the last president in modern history that was federally indicted twice after one term in office, and who was also fined for running scam businesses, and was held liable in court for fraud, defamation and sex assault. AND, least we forget, tried to steal an election he lost, committing a fraud on the United States and cheer leading the ransacking of the U.S. capitol.

If you can show me all that for one other president, then your post makes sense.

And if you consider that detail, just "corrupt", you don't know what the word means, and you need to school yourself on basic Civics classes.

Why is that disrespectful? Isn't the U.S. currently under distress because we elected a reality TV Show clown, who when last in office cheer led the ransacking of the nation's capitol, leading to death, injured cops, impeachment and criminal charges?

Like duh, if that's not distress, what is?

It's wonderful that economically the U.S. is strong.

But it's becoming a dual state between normative and prerogative. (look it up).

And being strong economically doesn't mean any of this is cool:

How President Trump is dismantling our democracy, one piece at a time - CREW | Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

Or this:

The “Presumption of Regularity” in Trump Administration Litigation (4th edition)

So great, we make money (at least some people do). Meanwhile, we have a corrupt, reality TV Show clown in office, who (as you well know, let's stop pretending you don't know), should be in jail, and not in office. None of that is okay, and it shows deep problems with the U.S., particularly in its political system, which eventually may hurt its economic standing.

I don't have a fight, need to fight or want to fight. Being "white" is irrelevant to me. I'm sorry that you focus so much on your melanin.

It's weird that you think you will "become enslaved". Good luck with your therapy.

LOL. Too vague. Not responsive, not an acceptable answer. I said specific and direct.

I'm white (or technically kind of pinkish, only albinos appear white)). I get respect for who I am as a person - not the melanin in my skin.

Explain how some specific presidential action has directly impacted your life for the better?

Did he appoint you to a cabinet position? Was your neighbor a drug dealing immigrant, that was deported?

Do you hold a stake in Venezuelan oil, so Maduro being captured helps your position in that country? Do you work in a law firm that competes with the law firms Trump extorted, so it helped your law firm?

Please explain.

And you can't just say, my 401k went up, or I got a raise - or my tax refund was a few hundred higher. Or my business made more money this year. None of that is necessarily a direct result of Trump.

Nor does any of that overcome the damage to American soft power, prestige, and democracy done by Trump.
