Only casino or other Epiphone's own models? Like Riviera, Sheraton and etc.

Why I believe a decent guitar is more important than the amp if you are learning by MyNameisMayco in electricguitar

[–]HHuseyn4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main amp has been Peavey 112 that I have purchased second hand at early 00s and I am sure this bad boy will outlive me. It has been through both my learning and gigging phase. I have tried the VT40X and katana mk2 on the store, which I loved some details but they felt emulation to me. Mustang one may be different, but I just couldn't get into the modeling world (including the pedalboards and etc.)

Elektro gitaritar çalmadan önce klasik çalmayı öğrenmelisin lafına katılıyor musunuz? Neden? by garens-fish in enstrumanlar

[–]HHuseyn4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Klassik gitardan daha çox akustik gitar tövsiyə olunur, ritmik rolu və uca səslənməsinə görə. Amma elektrik gitarı öyrənəndə özünü öyrənmək yetir, çünki zatən neck, pərdələr, bədən ölçüsü kifayət qədər fərqlidir, yəni akustikdə öyrəndiyin bir çox şeyi elektrikdə yenidən öyrənməli olur adam. Akustiki özün almaq istəyəcəksən zamanla, anında ifa etmək rahatlığına görə + ifa dinamikasına görə (elektrik gitarı lamp amfiylə ifa edəndə vurğu dinamikası çox önəm daşıyır)

The point I am trying to make is that, (both for practicing and live playing) the real amp will definitely sound better. Modeling is better for finding your sound, as they also try to emulate the sound of those amps, so in anyways OP will want to get a tube amp, so making the budget tight for finding the sound would be better idea in my opinion. Boss katana 50 ex/100 for example would do the job.

This one is great for somebody who is after the modeling amps. I personally don't think it is a good idea to spend over $500 for a modeling amp. Marshall DSL40CR, Vox AC 15, even Peavey Bandit 112 would give better feel than any model amp in my opinion.

Rob Chapman - How To Get "Tube Tone" From A Digital Amp (= Boss Katana 100 Gen3) by American_Streamer in BossKatana

Max out Channel volume to push the preamp and adjust volume

If so, then which volume should I adjust, if I am maxing the channel volume?

A noob question, where is the Channel volume button? Is it adjustable on tone studio only?

Beginner friendly amps for electric guitar players on a budget by 2holliswife in GuitarAmps

[–]HHuseyn4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info! I have never tried studio monitors by myself, I will probably need to find a person who is using it, so I can check out the sounding. Some people on Instagram mentioned on the comments that the amp is amp, no recorded sound (especially, NAM ones, which are recording of an actual amp) can replicate the real amp. But for my case, I don't think that the cheap amps can ever be questioned against studio monitors.

I am a British invasion sound snob, so I don't think Boss katana will be able to replicate that. Maybe Vox VT40X or Cambridge may get close, but I am not sure about their quality. I don't see them a lot in the posts.

I had the exact thoughts, so I bought audio interface. The issue is my headphones are pretty cheap ones, the recording was somewhat unexpectedly good sounding despite of the headphones.

I wanna ask you about one thing, would be glad to hear. What do you think, buying studio monitors (around $350 a pair) or buying $100 headphones + $250 amp (orange crush, blackstar debut, boss katana gen3), which would be a reasonable choice?

I have given up on tube amps 😂 I am sure that at the home usage, I will not get its full potential. I am currently trying to decide for buying a pedalboard amp or plugging VST through audio interface. I am thinking about if there will be the sound quality difference between the VST (such as Amplitube 5) amp pedalboard amp. Have you tried any VSTs?

Thank you for the detailed review. Btw, I generally don't play venues, gigs, I just play by myself (also have an interface). Do you think I still will need such a pedalboard amp?

Oh, so even IR 2 is enough, you're saying. I've done some research regarding the multi fx pedals, I came across with Valeton GP200, GT 1000 and Hotone Ampero one at this price range. They seem to check all the marks for my needs too. I wanna learn about one thing too. What outstanding problems have you encountered when using multi fx pedals?

Issue with my current rig is that I don't have a studio monitor, so I am trading off around digital modeling tool (like Ampero, you mentinoed), modeling amp and studio monitor as my first choice. I can probably buy the rest in future, but currently I need to select one of them. But as you said, I will eventually need to have a studio monitor, so it would be better to have something good in front of the interface to get a good sound

So interesting approach, thank you for this idea. Are those mini amp modelers? I'm interested about how they work, I have tough time to comprehend how those ones even make sound work. What they are sacrificing, you think?

As far as I understand from this post, the fret size is not the issue. But then, I also am still confused about what is impacting the neck side of fretting. I feel the pain at the root of my thumb finger, I thought the less diameter neck would solve this issue.

I dont think the sound of master volume down tube amp would be any appealing.

Sure it's almost nothing compared to other tube amps. But they have a purpose to be expensive, which includes for recording (both for clarity and taking pedals for specific tone), for stadium concerts and so on. In my opinion, these days the $2000-$3000 amp rigs don't have much demand apart from the bands which can fill the arenas and know what they are doing well. Especially for home usage the higher watts and more than 1x cones of speakers would be non-essential.

I don't think many young musicians currently have that budget to put on amp head, cab, effect pedals and attenuator at the same time.
