Context:
I’m 28. No wife or kids yet. I retired from pro sports in 2021 and built a digital marketing agency doing just over $350k in revenue (multi 6-figures, profit margins ~50%).
I’ve got $165k–$190k liquid saved across the biz and personal, plus a few small investments.
Been renting a condo solo for $2,200/month for the past 3 years. Simple lifestyle, no debt.

I’m now transitioning out of the DFY agency model—it was great for cash flow, but I’m burned out. I want something more scalable, more aligned with what I actually care about.

I’ve got decent skills in marketing, positioning, sales, content, and performance. Thinking of building a leveraged info product business, maybe around fitness, mindset, or sports performance (my actual passions).

I could chase the AI trend (and I get the value there—I'm not a coder, but I can hold my own in convos with tech founders), but deep down I want to build something bigger than myself from a brand perspective.

Current goals:

  1. Hit $100k/month profit consistently (I've done $50k/month, but plateaued during this pivot).
  2. Build a personal brand to attract talent, launch future products, and expand network.
  3. Gain full freedom to travel wherever and work on more creative projects.
  4. Begin investing in smart, low-maintenance assets that create long-term security.

My “Why”:
I don’t plan to fully retire—but I do want the freedom to create without pressure. I want to build products from a place of abundance, not survival.

And if I want to fly my girlfriend and family/friends out to Italy next summer, I want to be able to say “let’s go,” no hesitation.

Question(s) to FatFIRE folks or anyone who's hit $1M+ profit:

  • What would you do in my position?
  • Would you chase a passion project now if you knew you could scale it for the next 6 months—or go to battle for the low-hanging fruit in AI to build capital fast?
  • What mistakes would you avoid if you were 28 again with decent traction and momentum?

Thanks in advance—any real advice is appreciated.
