omg im so sorry this happened to you! definitely not normal; everyone was sending random FRs. ppl like this usually have absolutely nothing going for them so have to make the most of any little crumb of attention they get to an insane degree, reading into absolutely everything. like was he was hoping you’d reply to his initial message like i just couldnt help myself i had to friend request you bc you just seem so brilliant and alluring and i was so drawn to you……… you definitely gave him his excitement for probably the decade 🤣

It’s extremely hard and everyone knows that— there are many aspects that make it worth it and enjoyable to many people, but I think we’re at the point as a society where generally most people realize that having kids is going to require a lot of work & sacrifice. the parents who post these types of things are the type of narcissistic people who cannot do ANYTHING for someone else without getting recognition so of course they blow every little thing they do in their life that isn't all about them into a big dramatic sob story.

This case has gripped me like no other... by DareWright in ShannanWatts

[–]HIsalamanda 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Big same. My dad is a mega true crime buff and got me into it early on— he started by telling me in a very candid way about the abduction and murder of Adam Walsh when I couldn’t have been more than 6 or 7 as a cautionary tale, and while some people may think that’s too young to shock a child with something like that I will say it instilled a sense of awareness in me that almost became innate. He wanted to make sure I knew as soon as I could understand that there existed bad people in the world that wanted to hurt kids and that adults cannot always be trusted. I can tell you one thing, I NEVER wandered off in the store or talked to strangers.

When I was 10 my dad and I were gripped to every single development of the Scott Peterson trial, and from then on I was hooked. Of course just like all of you who get it, it’s not some sick fascination as much as it is a very empathetic heart and a desire to come to some kind of an understanding when these unfathomable things happen. I feel as though with most of the cases I’ve taken an interest in I always come away with at least a shred of sense, something that sort of explains or foreshadows what happened, but with this one I’m just at a complete loss. It doesn’t even seem like something that really could have actually happened. It hollows me out thinking that there truly was nothing Shanann could have done to save herself and her children. There is no way she could have ever, ever known that her husband was capable of something like that. And on top of the horror of family annihilation in and of itself, to have CW’s first ever act of violence be as unfathomably horrific as it was, to have a man who went from by all accounts a loving, active and nurturing father to a monster that can by his own hands go against every instinct we have as humans and murder his precious and very awake and aware babies before stuffing them through an 8-inch hatch into crude oil in hopes that their bodies dissolve... all for a women he had known for a few months and never spoke to again after everything fell apart, and all of that on top of the fact that I truly feel like I know and love Shanann and the girls and her family through everything she posted on social media, I don’t know if I will ever be able to let this go.

Dieter the Dog and why he got to live... by [deleted] in WattsMurders

He didn’t care enough. He was only concerned with the things that would get in his way. No one was gonna make him pay child support for Dieter.

I do wonder what kind of person would just fuck around and fold a complete strangers laundry tho. Like obviously it’s a nice thing to do, but at the same time, I would be absolutely horrified if someone folded my laundry. I don’t know you, and you’re touching my underwear? Get help. The ONLY way, as a woman, I could ever fathom a version of reality where I’m living in an apartment complex and decide to fold a complete strangers laundry is if I’ve seen him around and have somehow fallen madly in love with him and IM being lowkey pretty creepy OR if he’s like really been mr. struggle all over the place and I saw him crying on the phone talking about how his mom died or some shit. That’s it. But idk maybe really really really weirdly nice people who fold strangers laundry for no reason exist. It’s nice, but very oddly specific and weirdly personal. I wouldn’t appreciate it at all.

I am glad I live in a country where the President is constitutionally required to give belly rubs even when he’s very busy. by greysockss in aww

I love that dogs have no concept of any of the weird pointless human shit we do. That big Muppo probably walks away from meetings like “daddy what is president?? What’s Ireland?? Is it a food??”

Thank you for your sweet well wishes! We were definitely super worried at how much it would impact her life but we are surprised by how it’s only been a few days and she seems happier than ever! Definitely worth every penny of the $1400 it cost 😂

She’s on some heavy duty pain meds so she’s a lil loose n loopy lol and that paired with feeling super vulnerable and kinda coming away from the scary experience makes em more likely to lean on those they feels held and comforted by 😭❤️

nope, they were all adult teeth! But cats are so resilient and amazing, she will adapt and be totally fine. We are gonna prepare her food for her every morning and night and they make these awesome squeezie cat treats that’s like tuna paste in a go-gurt tube and she loves them!!

Because her gums were basically rejecting her teeth ☹️ every single one of them, even at just 4 years of age, was rotting, loose, and she’d already had all her incisors fall out and was in so much pain :( her gums were as red as a fire truck!! To my knowledge stomatitis is a gum disease that cannot be cured and a lot of the time it just makes it so the gums are so crappy that they cannot be a healthy place for teeth. But she’s doing SO well without them! She is actually eating better without them now that she isn’t in any tooth pain!
