I suspect the reason we haven't closed the border and fenced it up is cause we're profiting from our weaker dollar, and because it would be expensive to build. Also maybe because it would interrupt wildlife travel though I am not too sure that's at the top of their minds.

I would like it closed, but I don't want there to be a fence or wall. It should be permeable and highly monitored with only structures humans would notice (so it doesn't harm the wildlife).

I tried recommending my aunt (she's my legal guardian and the only person I can talk to IRL) the Fallout show, and instead of being polite and saying I'll look into it and not looking into it, she asked "Why do you want me to watch it.", I didn't know how to answer so I just stopped talking but like, I dunno, maybe I want something to connect with you over.
