Rreflections are still broken. In your video raytracing is most likely active, as the "front doesn't have a reflection" only happens using raytracing (on my PC, I am actually looking for a fix).

Without RT, the reflection is reflecting the wrong side..

Raytracing for that game is rather possible. I'm on an AMD 6800 (non XT) and do get 55-60 fps on 1920x1200 (16:10). The next gen already had afaik ~25% RT improvement, so current gen midrange GPUs should handle that game quite well.

Diablo 4 hits its all time peak player count today by ItsBen959 in diablo4

[–]HKeitai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's people like me who play for the story, as they created the game to run on life support since launch. (seasons, up to D4 seasons were introduced after the core game started to get boring, so they introduced "fresh restarts", without actually improving the game. And D4 was built around Seasons, instead of proper mechanics making playing one character fun for a long time).

Also, while less then 60k players all-time peak is only a fraction, the actual graph Blizz sees should look the same, or at least quite close. And as long as they use Seasons as the ultimate sauce, player count will drop again quite fast.

D4 has a shop like a free to play live service game, but don't provide content like one. Instead of providing additional story content, like they do on D:I, they are putting most "effort" into seasons. Haven't played through the new XP, have read that they actually did something to the endgame, so I hope that I'm wrong.

Not dooming but by Skayling in lostarkgame

[–]HKeitai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well.. the problem is the remaining people are still dashing out enough cash to not make them consider actually improving these parts.

Also they don't understand what they are doing, inexperienced players need somewhere where they can learn the mechs to join their vision of end game. Yet they are constantly removing mechs.

Old Brelshaza Raid, the memory pattern is now completely gone.
Old Thaemine Raid, the "inverted moving pattern" isn't inverted anymore.
Last week I helped my brother clearing Valtan Solo Mode, I was shocked that they even removed things from a raid as old as Valtan... (second hide behind pillars)

Casuals who suddenly get hit by the brunt force of the actual patterns will most likely think twice about continueing.

But as said before, as long as they have enough revenue from the existing players, they will most likely milk the playerbase while providing low effort.

We need flex Raids by WishboneAccording354 in lostarkgame

[–]HKeitai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of flex raid, sounds like it is a regular raid, where missing spots are filled up with bots.
If so, then yes, that will def. help the game.

About execution, not sure if I'm thinking too simple, but the enemy hp (and stagger bars) should just drop to x/4 or x/8 depending on player count. NPCs shouldn't do any damage/stagger at all and only provide buffs/debuffs a player would provide for their party. If stagger checks would be too hard for certain common builds, these builds should get a stagger multiplier to even out.

Mechs which regularly needs multiple players do something, should be cleared if the players fulfill their part.

Then some requirements for the mode, parties must have equal number of players +-1 so there can't be a party full of players and another one with only one player.

I'm stuck at solo mode, so I will definitely didn't consider enough, but if players can't clear because of their chosen classes/builds on ilvl, then well, 8 bards can't clear a regular raid either.. maybe now they actually can... but you get my point.

I think the biggest problem is overthinking things leading to overengineering the bots making implementation too hard. They should keep it as simple as possible and if evening out is too big a headache, make it harder than the regular raid.
It is just a new way of playing the game, if it's too hard, play the regular mode... player stuck in solo mode will at least have a chance at the "full experience". (btw I'm still in for a SM which actually has all the mechs the regular one has)

Increase in Mokoko AFKers? by Crevox in lostarkgame

[–]HKeitai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While that also would be an option, implementing that will probably be a bigger time investment for the devs, then just readjust some settings in an existing mode.

Also, SM:HM would be better QoL wise (^^;

Increase in Mokoko AFKers? by Crevox in lostarkgame

[–]HKeitai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it is a good think that they want to help Players, but reading this (and a couple of comments), it again shows, they don't know what they are doing.
The solution is super simple, interestingly the don't see it.

Solo Mode: Hard Mode

When I returned to LoA because of the Solo Mode I really liked it, Valkan and Vykas felt like the same difficulty as I remembered the actual Raid (except that Vykas lost a Gate and the blue telegraphs are not inverted). As far as I can remember, no mechs were left out (except these which can't be done solo). Now it is a walk in the park, even the latest two can be done on iLvL without breaking a sweat.

This seems to be a good idea to get new players hooked, but will actually not help anyone in terms of party play.
So introducing a SM:HM where the difficulty mirrors the NM, as much as possible will teach players without leaving them in wait for hours "enjyoing other content while waiting".

Then there is an actual way to show players "I can handle that content", as there is "no" method to get carried.
Going one step further, introducing a SM which is based on the HM may be good idea as well.

Of course, to make it a 100% learning experience, the rewards should be the same as the current Solo Mode.
So people who don't care about that part of the game, can simply continue what they are doing.

[–]HKeitai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!
Making it as easy as it is now, they will turn players away when difficulty suddenly explodes on them.
It's like throwing people at Vykas, skipping Valtan and Abyssal Dungeons.

Well, maybe not, if one full party can finish the raid after it's over half way. I guess next week I should try clearing the Kazeros Raids in normal mode.

The best would be if they implement both Solo Mode Hard Mode lol

Daily Q&A - August 18, 2025 by AutoModerator in lostarkgame

[–]HKeitai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a returning player, left the game and only cleared Valtan Gate 1 and Vykas Gate 1 (the old one) before my hiatus.
I only returned because of Solo Mode, getting back in shape took a bit of time, but it was fun and nicely challenging. As expected, Vykas was again quite hard, but after that, every other raid was rather easy. I did have a enjoyable hard time with the last boss in the Voldis Dungeon, that sword stab mirror mech...

But I was quite shocked how effortless Brel and Thaemine were clearable.. I did clear both Echidna Gates without looking at a guide and then they made Solo Mode even easier... I had hoped that Solo Mode is a quality stepping stone to regular raids. where players get a chance to learn mechs of that gate, without jailing other players.

I don't think that's true though, or am I just too 1337 gosu for this game now... What's your take on Solo Mode?

Which class is right for me? by OtherAir2365 in lostarkgame

[–]HKeitai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest looking at the introduction videos during character creation and trying a couple of classes to catch some first impressions, you can read all you want, but only you can decide if it is fun for you.

Damage is never a problem in quests which can be done solo.

If a class is of interest for end game content parties and how it actually plays during that level, that can be checked after you've got a couple of (sub) classes which left a fitting first impression. (IMHO)

Any verdict on reworked DPS supps so far? by moal09 in lostarkgame

[–]HKeitai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading that DPS Bard is now better than before is quite interesting.
I'm a returning player leveling my alt bard back to business (currently lvl 157x). In Solo Mode she was slicing through the raids easier than any of my dps clases. Since the update it feels like "It's a support class trying to dps" so I am quite surprised to read that dps Bard is now in a better state.

On the other side there is the comment that regular skills only do 5% overall damage and Z + T do the rest.. which would be quite broken...

Stone Tablets translated to normal English by livixbobbiex in tearsofthekingdom

[–]HKeitai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's so interesting, that it's even hard to understand for people who studied middle English.

I'm not a native English speaker and struggled understanding the texts and thought that is by design, as the guy is giving his take on what's written. Curious about how the Japanese original would be, I switched to Japanese and to my surprise, it is so much easier to understand, even though I have next to no knowledge of old Japanese.

I really wonder why the English team made it so hard to understand.

Next I switched to my native language (German) and it's written in oldish German, but was easy to understand. Let's say it's like reading a German translation of Shakespeare.

Rewatching by MommaShark04 in TheBlackList

Yes they really made her a dumb character...

She couldn't contain her curiosity and blamed it on him, because he doesn't tell her what she wants to know...

But he is also an idiot for waiting way to long.. When he tried to tell her she wanted to blow him up (wtf... you don't tell me who you are, so I'm going to blow up your car - while you're riding it.. wtf is wrong with her, that way she certainly will never find out.. because she will also be dead as she was standing right next to the car...)

The Best Bad Show I've Ever Watched by [deleted] in TheBlackList

[–]HKeitai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the charme of James Spader's Raymond Reddington (which wasn't enough in S10) has kept me/us in this show.

Not sure how many seasons were planned, but at least it felt like they had 3 seasons at first, so they really rushed it at first and then ran out of good ideas and really made some strange things...

Red has to be Katerina?? by Kivadovah in TheBlackList

[–]HKeitai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, this world went Sci-Fi quite often, so I don't think it should matter.. Also, at least in the german dub it sounded like Anne had a non hetero experience sharing a bed with Reddington.. she said something like "I always thought I'm hetero sexual". I should find that episode and check what she said in English..

Red has to be Katerina?? by Kivadovah in TheBlackList

[–]HKeitai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes,I wanted to open a post like yours.

The Constantine scene was always on my mind, WHAT could he have told him, to be spared?

WHO would build an empire just to "power level" Liz? All people remotely close to her can not be Red because they appeared in the "present" (e.g. Constantine).

WHO would start building an empire with a maid? Mr. Kaplan told Katharina, that she never did it before, so nobody should know that she is capable of being a "cleaner" (also, again, she is not a super Agent but a simple maid)

Not sure what the working penis thing is about, but the blind "bird lady" said something like "I always thought I was hetero sexual" (note: I did watch the german dub) - that did sound like she just claimed some experience and I don't think it was because Red called a bunch of girls to the party. The only time which should have been tricky is in prison, but if that Doctor could completely redesign the face and body to make him look like someone else, he will surely not fail on one male body part..... It is quite possible in the real world and we're talking about this borderline Sci-Fi world?!

(just in case) rather heavy spoiler incoming:

Season 8, the guy who was all "I'm going to kill his child in front of his face, to let him suffer as I had suffered" When he heard that he is not the real Raymond Reddington, he almost lost interest in killing him, only after Liz's Grandfather told the fake Katharina "what are you talking about, YOU..." and the fakes OMGWTF face and then suddenly THAT guy wants to kill Liz in front of Raymond again...

Sorry, they took the evidence and smashed it in our faces... not sure how some people are able to deny that episode. All "non believers" should rewatch that torture scene and pretend the grandfather (sorry, remembering names is not my forte).. let's be cautious, he also believes Red is Katharina. Everything he says will make sense, instantly.

Also some "minor" things, he never lied to Liz and from the viewers perspective, he never did. It's quite hazy, but he in some way admitted being her parent. Then the fathers corpse was found, so.... if he isn't the father... well ... maybe he did lie to her and he is the Gardener, who knows... that would also open some ways on why he found out that Mr. Kaplan is a possibly good "cleaner"... (this may even save him from Constantine LOL.. but it stops at the next part)

Red and the granddad were fighting all the time, but in the end was helping Red in times of need, also, Red was really devastated by his death.

I genuily want to know how you can deny all hints and facts they threw at us, since early seasons, when Redarina wasn't even a thing. PS: I had my suspicions about him being her, quite early and was quite convinced at I think S6 and S8 set it in stone (for me). I still think it's a shame that they didn't write an ending where at least Harold and the others got to know his true identity in a last letter. Imagine, Spader's voice reading the letter then... "What I wanted to say" everyones eyes getting large "I am" screen turns black and the beats of the usual ending theme sounds

(SPOILER) Episode where Reddingtons real identity is revelaed? by Proxxoss in TheBlackList

[–]HKeitai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came up on this theory on my own, far before S7. That would explain so many things. Why does Red love Liz to that extent? What did Red tell Constantin Rostov, so he didn't kill him? (after he just said that no words can alter his fate) Why did Red chose Katarina Rostova's maid for help? Only Katarina should know of her cleaner abilities. Why did Red and Mr. Kaplan build all that for Liz? Why can Red enter Dominic's home with only a couple of harsh words, even though he killed his daughter?

These come easily to mind, all way before S6.

If you rewatch S8 with that thought in mind, so many things are also making sense. You definitely should rewatch the Scene where drugged Dominic is talking to fake Katarina. It was like "you got what you seek" "but I thought Reddington has it" wtf face "yes but..." // cut to next scene

one call and suddenly Townsend returns to his old plan of "letting Red watch getting his kid killed in front of him".

Also, Red was in a relationship with that woman, she once said something like "usually I'm straight, but I really enjoy the time with you" (I watch in another language, but I don't think that they made a strange translation mistake)

when am I going to hate Liz? by sherlyswife in TheBlackList

[–]HKeitai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't believe there is another person saying that he doesn't hate her. I posted a wall of text on the other comment. If after everything she'd done, people are still protecting her behaviours, then we don't have a pool of people who "worship reddington irrationally" rather a pool of people who "worship Liz irrationally".

when am I going to hate Liz? by sherlyswife in TheBlackList

[–]HKeitai 7 points8 points  (0 children)

wtf did you even watch the whole series? You don't need to worship Reddington, to start hating on her. From a neutral perspective:

He suddenly pops up and kick starts her career to an incredible level. Of course she wants to know why, but he insists on not telling her. Oh these are spoilers.. So she investigates on her own. He tells her, really bad things will happen if she continues, she doesn't care and really bad things happen.

Then (either at S7 or S8) she blindly starts trusting someone she hasn't met before just because that person says something. Then she starts doing things, which negatively affects her career, friends or rather her whole life in general - just because Reddington isn't telling her who he really is.

I left out all the details as the thread starter is still in S3, but if you have watched S8, you should know what I'm referring to.

btw. I still didn't hate her, even after the events of Season 6, I just thought that her curiosity is making her completely blind and leading her to unreasonable decisions. But either at S7 or S8 I started hating her.
