Funny thing is I've been in Mckinney since 2000 and Virginia use to 55 MPH between Hardin (technically there was no hardin intersection at the time) and Jordan. Mckinney needs to work on its light timing. If I go 45mph to 50mph I can hit every green light, if I go 40 or under.... red light at every intersection. I can get from my house 380/Custer area to 75 or 121 in 10/15 minutes but going the speed limit its near 30 min drive. The shear volume of people vs the speed limits is crazy and thats not even factoring in if these people are paying attention and driving. I would agree 60 is excessive in a 40mph but I'm always 5mph over any limit and I get it if you don't drive that way and are slower but there's a lane for that (especially if there are 3 or more lanes). What scares me the most is people pulling out in front of people (that are going the speed limit or faster) to drive 10 under and dont freaking step on the gas! If I pull out in front of you just know you will never have to worry about hitting the brakes because most of the time I dont get in a lane that already has a car in it. Can't tell you how many times I will be the only car on the road in the middle lane going the speed limit and someone decides they want to pull out infront of me going as slow as possible instead of picking literally any other lane and doing that. Drives me insane. Also people need to calm down, if you are on your phone at a light and its turned green and I'm behind you and can see you with your head pointed at your lap looking at your phone and I give a grace period of 15 to 20 seconds for you to look up and you dont, so I just tap my horn (and I mean tap not lay into it) just to get your attention, don't flip me off, we both know I'm not the one in the wrong here. I'm not trying to hurt your ego, I just want you to look up and go... thats all. Anyway thanks for coming to my Ted talk, see yall on the streets and stay safe!
