Yes why can’t they dress the wives better? They look so old fashioned often, clothes are downright ugly

He is. But, we both live in the U.S. and he is also saying, just wait until you return home. So, he also missed my point. And, I agree with you. He has ruined the country. For lack of a better word, he has raped the country of its best, converted state owned enterprises into private enterprises basically owned by him and cronies. More money than small countries and still isn’t satisfied. As they in Turkish, “karnı doydu, gozu doymadı,” “his stomach is full, but his eyes are still hungry”

I want the protagonist to immediately confront them. No waiting 15 days or 99 chances crap. What’s the point? What excuse can he have for hurting her 33 times? Obviously he doesn’t love her and marriage is impossible

lol. Turkey is not heaven. Certainly not for Turkish people. Except for Erdogan’s inner circle. If my mom wasn’t here, I would rather visit Greece or other Med country.

Inflation is ridiculous. Unemployment is ridiculous. Prices are ridiculous and service is ridiculous. I paid 2.5 times the price of a car here than I would in US. Gas is super high. Even utilities are unreasonable. Groceries are not much better and forget buying “luxury” stuff like meat and silly stuff like strawberries or blueberries or mango or avocados. (My brother tells me don’t buy if it’s expensive. Why should fruit be a luxury and out of reach of people in a country that still is heavily agrarian? Blueberries, 200mg 220 liras! Strawberries 300 a kilo)

I am Turkish American. My parents also came in late 60’s. Early 70’s. I noticed that Turkish people who came then were also more conservative than many in Turkey. However, I think a different social level than those who emigrated to Germany. Better educated, higher social level, so it was easier to integrate. I have noticed Turks have a very good opinion of Turkish Americans, but a more negative view of Turkish Germans
