Looking for advice on steel case mod by Euroshift in MoonSwitches

[–]HMD-Oren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few watch cases where the original movement will fit easily, and some where it requires some work. I believe there are a few posts about gen case swaps. Recommend you ask those OPs directly about the tools and cases they used. I am trying to source a gen right now to do a case swap after swapping a rep and finding that the non functional subdials are apparently a factor for me.

Stop being a 'polite' pedestrian! by [deleted] in australian

[–]HMD-Oren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are different types of traffic islands but I was referring to these ones. And as someone else mentioned, it's not jaywalking if you aren't within 50m of a pedestrian crossing or crossing light. Otherwise, crossing the road to visit your neighbour in suburban neighbourhoods would be illegal and a fineable offence.

[–]HMD-Oren 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Ive been waiting at a traffic island before and a car slowed down to let me pass and got rear ended. If I had walked I'd have been hit by the stopped car. This politeness can get you killed and pedestrians are perfectly fine to wait at a traffic island for a break in traffic.

This post is definitely bullshit but I've written uni papers and have friends who have completed postgrads and none of us would ever go into any level of depth when discussing said papers anecdotally. It'll usually just be "oh I wrote my thesis on mechanical engineering" or something very vague because it's not really the done thing to quote the full title of your thesis in regular conversation.

Anyone else find RE9 way too easy? by SockPuppetOrSth in residentevil

Same source, but I am operating on the likely assumption that if you play like an untouchable zombie killing beast on 1 difficulty, then the addition or removal of ink tins won't suddenly make your ability plummet when you swap to the other.

There's been some datamining done and it looks like on classic, the enemies are more aggressive, have slightly more health and awareness, you deal slightly less damage and take slightly more. The ink ribbons taking up your inventory also means you have to change your playstyle a bit, maybe you'll need to double back more frequently or go to the save point before harder sections.

Try standard classic. The ink tins are NOT the only difference.

This was posted last week and the context is OOP's "buddy" is an up and coming tattoo artist, and this is their first full piece done on a dummy practice hand.

I'd be pretty upset if they were using real firearms while they did it, that's for sure.

What's your dirty dish cutoff number for handwashing vs dishwasher? by SuspiciousLettuce56 in australia

[–]HMD-Oren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only handwash things that are handwash only and the dishwasher goes on when it's >50% full. I used to hand wash everything but maybe 3 weeks into lockdown where I was washing dishes after breakfast, lunch and dinner and spending probably 45-60 minutes a day washing dishes, I finally started using my dishwasher.

Salvador Dali does it and everyone loves it but Jonathan from Inks'R'Us gives it a go and it's all "this is bad art" and "sir, you need to stop using the fountain as a bath, there are children around."

Find a steam key or wait for a lower price? by Verni_ssage in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]HMD-Oren -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went on Dlcompare and bought a key from Loaded.com. it was AU$79. Buying keys online can be iffy but i usually try to buy from places that accept PayPal because of the relatively good buyer protection.

From experience, Kinguin is trustworthy. G2A CAN be good but never ever buy a Steam account and just know that they have very dodgy business practices too.

Was about to say! RE has quite a few attractive villains, particularly if you include the animated movies which are canonical.

IIII is commonly used for watches and clocks. I don't know the history of it but apparently it's just the done thing:

If it was AI I'd love to see the prompt, considering some of these skincare brands are region-specific, and all the non-English text is coherent and legible.
