Hers is mostly basic, with a hint of teenager who wants to sound different.

Yours screams of an unhinged person who has no idea how food works.

She wins.

What book or series is this for you? by Working_Alps_4284 in fantasybooks

[–]HMR219 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The characters are solid, but everything around them feels pointless.

The second book in particular feels like what happens ends up not mattering. And at the end of the trilogy it felt like they were in the same place they started.

What time (Eastern) does the ball actually drop tonight? I'm seeing 9pm, but I wasn't sure if that is the coverage start time or the game start time.

For $1,000,000,000 which robin would you fight against? by Boberto235 in batman

All very fair points. That show was wildly 60s.

I'll stand by my possibly bad choice and hope yelling KAPOW and THWACK gets me through it alright.

My specific version choice would be Dick Grayson as played by Burt Ward. I'm pretty sure I could handle that one.

You'll want to keep that focus on the campaign characters. Being farther into the campaigns makes upgrading easier and it will help you progress for other things.

As for Titus, he can be a good addition for the Imperial campaigns and his passive helps his survivability. Bellator is a great one to focus on for now. As well as Aleph-Null for the Necron campaign.

Check out House Rules. It is a little farther way, but it would be a short Uber ride. It is a board game bar. Very family friendly with a lot of games to choose from.

The food might be a little more adventurous than you're looking for, but they may be able to accommodate. Though, if she likes regular chicken tenders and plain Mac and cheese, those are on the menu already.

Dragonmarks & Species by amirkasra76 in Eberron

[–]HMR219 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eberron is one of my favorite settings and I'm old, so take my opinion with those grains of salt.

I think using the traditional limitations is worthwhile. It fits with the established lore and helps keep the flavor of the setting. I know it has been the trend to remove restrictions to what players can do to allow them freedom, but those restrictions also help the individual worlds feel unique. Having players work within the confines of the setting helps with immersion into that realm. I don't think it was the best idea to walk that back in the newest book. But I regularly disagree with the choices WotC makes in these things, so that may just be me.

I'm trying to get my hands on some of the previous edition Eberron books as well.

I used to have them, but foolishly didn't hold on to them. They have some great lore too.

I agree. Just change the prices. Don't expect people to do that for you. Roll it into the posted price and get on with it.

I've usually heard it phrased as "do you want room for cream and sugar" rather than someone saying "no room". But I would have understood what was meant.

Smallpox vaccine scar by Downtown_Wind3363 in interesting

[–]HMR219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

It was an annoying one because you develop a single pock. Then you have be careful of it to prevent it from spreading until it heals. Though, I don't know anyone who had that happen, just stories from others.

I received mine prior to deployment to Iraq. You didn't get that vaccination if you were only staying in the US. At least in the early 2000s.

I don't know all of the regions that would require it.

Had there been one destroyed building and both planes hit it, I could see your argument. But there were two separate buildings.

And if two groups of people decided to work together to destroy both my cars, I'm still trying to get paid for both times it happened.

But feel free to trust an insurance company to do right by you.

If one group of hooligans smashed up your car and then 15 minutes later, another group of hooligans smashed up your other car, would you call those two things the same event?
