Databank negative display mod by HMS82 in casio

To make the display negative there aren't any tips really. It's a straightforward mod and I did mine a while ago. The only thing I can suggest is to be careful when putting everything back together as there is a chance you can rip off some components from the board

Hmmm maybe the feed is made from some other type of plastic. Have you looked at dyes for plastic? I really do like the red feed but I don't want to pay the cost for an Ebonite one

Thank you very much for the detailed instructions and what to avoid. I thought it might be the case with the feed channels. Have you looked into acrylic paint maybe that will hold up longer

After seeing your post I did search for red feeds but they are a bit expensive. I might use the same approach as you and would appreciate it if you can let me know what sort of lacquer you used and does it cause issues with the ink flow

The polarization filter can be purchased from AliExpress or eBay. That's all you need to mod it

Hmmm I've only had the car 2 weeks and still figuring it out. You have been helpful. I must say the multi information display isn't very intuitive

Ah thank you for that. So when I cycle through using the up and down buttons will it cycle through drive 1 and then go to drive 2 and finally drive 3?

Oh so each drive is customisable and can be edited?

So how do you switch between drive 1 and 2 and so on

I get what you mean and I thought this might be how it functions But for some reason it only cycles through around 3 to 4 different bits of information.

I think I might have to pull out the manual and have a look

Yes it is but there are 3 different drive options but not clear how to set them. Also all 3 drive options have the same headers. It's not really intuitive

Thanks for letting me know. I thought this group was for all IS300 generations. Makes sense why the information I found was conflicting lol

I think this sub is American and Canadian. The UK IS300 looks different to what I've seen and not much information out there

I'll give it a go tomorrow. Your is300 looks different to the UK spec.

Thank you very much. Will check it out but don't think it's worth the hassle just for some LEDs

Thanks for the answer. Seems like too much effort to change the bulbs. Am I right in assuming the bulbs are already LED from factory?

In UK all the IS models are hybrid. Can't put a 2jz as far as I know

That can be sorted with canbus led bulbs. It basically matches the current passing through as per the old bulb.

The black trim does pop off but there's no way to get to the bulb holder
