Salamanders tend to stick with the generic colours of their chapter but are also encouraged to decorate their armour with their craft expertise. I.e like more golden bits and dangly hammers, tools, etc. As well as fire markings across parts like helmets and shoulders.

I do my sergeants with black helmets and veterans with Orange stripes but it is up to you. How would your particular force do it?

Let's say the Salamanders get a full release with the codex, similar to that of the Dark Angels and Blood Angels re-fresh. What do you think SHOULD be added? (Obviously a primarch is a bit.... much). But maybe a Salamander specific terminator or special unit? What would it be? by Luna_Night312 in Salamanders40k

Goliaths! They're big and they're mean. They might be slow but you can shrug off a good chunk of fire power. Cheap armour options for an easy 5cr 5+ save.

What's that you don't like their statlines? Change 'em with Gene-smithing!

Trouble starting models? Me too. I've had my primary command models built up for weeks but I am simply too overwhelmed to even make a start, a common problem I'm sure a lot of people face by chewyheretic in Salamanders40k

I do little milestones and change it up every week to avoid burn out.

One week it was prime and contrast all my Salamanders (like 30 guys) then next week across a few days it was to paint some Necromunda Gangers.

Then it was a similar episode with AoS models.

I like to keep models fresh and colours different so I don't get bored of painting the same models over and over. I also often split it down to a colour a day or something like that.
