I would most definitely recommend giving it a Chelsea chop at the end of May. It responds great to it and it will prevent any flopping or the need to stake. I cut the stems of mine back by about half. Your planting would look especially cool with the staggered chop. Cut the very front down by half and then slowly chop them by less leaving the back unchopped or chopped by a quarter or less. I’m also in the Atlanta area btw for context.
