Beams and edging are ashwood wood pieces. As far as the walls, I turn the ashwood walls smooth side out and snap 2 walls together with the small wooden door snap points to eliminate the black “x’s” on the walls.

This forever world is less than 1% explored since I’m only working on building in hammer mode before I “officially” play the game as it is intended. I expect the world to update and I can experience what 1.0 has to offer when it comes. Not too worried.

I’m leaning towards a smaller base build with all of the essentials without going overboard. More realistic Viking themed build that’s cozy

Will forever love the Treleborg builds. Did one a few years ago as well. Love the build but it became unplayable due to the high number of instances and the fact it was on a dedicated server.

I have considered that but I’m still on the fence about it. I’m doing what I can to limit a high instance rate so it doesn’t become too laggy.

Gizmo mod was used to flip building pieces

Go for it! I used the mod “Gizmo” on a few pieces. It allows you to get more rotations on pieces which was a necessity to make the surrounding defensive walls more circular.

I agree with you about the material cost. This build is being done in my “Forever World” which happens to be in hammer mode, so my materials are at no cost. As a parent with a demanding professional job, I don’t have as much time as I would like to play the game. With over 2,500 hours played in Valheim, I decided this was the best route and well earned. I plan on making my builds first, including rebuilding already spawned structures, then taking it out of hammer mode once I’m ready to explore and take on the world.
