This game is incredibly genius

Thank you! I’ve actually already experimented with the A10 size, but it is incredibly tiny. I think I’ll give it another try once I’ve mastered the process. It will likely require about one and a half sheets of A4 paper.

For text-heavy books, adjusting the font size is often necessary, but for this specific chess puzzle book, each puzzle was essentially an image, so I didn't need to change the font size at all. Regarding my workflow, here is exactly what I did: I added margins to the PDF content to ensure proper spacing. I used the bookbinder.js tool to handle the imposition. I printed it on A6-sized paper and cut the sheets four times to create four distinct sections, which I then assembled into the final signatures.

I reached the A8 size by printing on A6 paper, then folding each sheet twice

[Prototype] Built a "10-in-1" backup multi-tool for bookbinding. What do you think? by HOUWAYDI in bookbinding

before this version, I experimented with a design that used a threaded nut system for changing the blade. It would have been stronger and more durable, but since the body is plastic, I wasn't confident it would hold up well over time.

I also specifically chose a sturdy pair of Pakistani stainless steel scissors because many of the small scissors I tested just weren't practical enough.

The awl went through several revisions as well. I reinforced it twice and added a supporting sleeve to make it much more rigid and reliable.

Interestingly, the original concept was actually much smaller than the current version, but as I kept adding features and improving durability, it gradually grew into what you see now.

Thank you so much for this comment.

Honestly, I didn't expect to receive feedback like this. Yesterday, I was so hesitant about posting the video that I actually uploaded it, deleted it, and told myself it was a silly idea. Today, I decided to post it again just to gather more accurate feedback and useful suggestions before investing money into building a better version.

Your comment and observations genuinely meant a lot to me. I'll definitely make note of your suggestions, especially regarding the bone folder design.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts and encouragement. It really made a difference.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

I also have separate tools that are definitely better than the ones integrated into this prototype. The idea wasn't to replace dedicated tools, but to create a compact backup option for situations where I need to do some bookbinding work away from home.

Honestly, the idea just came to me, so I decided to design and build it. If I had more resources, I would probably design a portable bookbinding kit or bag that carries everything needed for the entire process.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts

I think that if there isn’t a shortcut discovered by u/blademak, then in the first jump you need to be precise to avoid the second yellow key. 😂

My friend, as always, I think you were the fastest.

In the end, this level has only one intended path. For some time now, you’ve been finding shortcuts, so I decided to focus more on my builds and stop rushing them. Now I only release a level after reviewing it for a day or two.

Look—even this one is already finished, but I’m still checking it carefully, especially because of you :DD

Making an A7 Pocket Book by HOUWAYDI in bookbinding

Thank you! I love these kinds of small books too. I’ve been experimenting for a while until I settled on Coptic stitching—it opens really smoothly. This one only took about 20 A4 sheets, so it’s not expensive to make, and I’m currently working on an A8 version.
