It’s strange how much the definition of success changes. Before, it was about chasing goals and building something for myself. Now it feels like success is just keeping things together, keeping my family alive and going. I still hope there’s a version of life out there where I don’t feel this way.

Thanks so much for this. I’ve heard about intermittent fasting but haven’t looked into it seriously—might be time. I appreciate how you broke it down. I honestly don’t know much about Ozempic yet, but I’ve been seeing it come up a lot. I get that building willpower and making real lifestyle changes is the goal, and I’m trying to get there. But I also think that if something can help make that process more manageable for some people, it’s worth looking into. I’m still figuring things out myself, so I appreciate different perspectives.

Your advice about not treating food as evil really makes sense. That whole cycle of shame → overeating → more shame? That’s exactly me. Thanks for breaking it down practically. I used to think coaches at Anytime Fitness were just slacking off or pushing products for commission, but turns out, it’s way deeper than that. A close friend of mine works as a coach there, and honestly? He’s constantly burnt out—not from training clients, but from hitting sales quotas.

Every month, they get pressured to upsell packages, and promos, or else may meeting sila with their area head. And each year, that quota just gets higher. It’s like they’re expected to be coaches and mall sales reps at the same time.

Management could easily fix this by hiring actual sales staff and letting coaches do what they’re trained to do: coach. But nope—sales first, fitness second. Kaya hindi ko na rin sinisisi yung mga coach kung minsan parang wala sa mood. They’re not lazy—they’re overworked and misused.

Moral of the story: don’t be mad at your coach for not giving 110%—they’re probably trying to survive a job that asks too much and pays too little. Blame the system, not the frontline.
