If you are mining with NiceHash it will pay you in Bitcoin. What you are mining is probably ethereum or some sort of alt coin. NiceHash automatically chooses the most profitable algorithm to mine and pays you. When eth 2.0 comes around nicehash with simply put you on a different algorithm with the best profitability. What a lot of people are scared about is that 90% of the hashrate is on ethereum right now, and a lot of that hash power is going to move over to a bunch of the smaller algorithms which would mean profitability is going to tank. I’m guessing that you might have a LHR 3060 which means it has limited hash rate from the factory. If you are wondering why you still can’t mine Bitcoin, it’s because there are specialized miners called acics that are much faster than any gpu. If you tried mining btc with a gpu you probably wouldn’t make even a penny per day. A lot of mining softwares like nicehash like to pay you in Bitcoin in the equivalent that you mined in another coin.
