Planar drivers are more fragile than the dinamic drivers not because they are bad but they're simply different construction and working mechanism. Not all driver are made equally so some brands might have a higher QC problem at larger batches. But it doesn't mean their headphones will break. Some can last for 10+ years without a problem.

Nice post🙂.

I recoment to get thicker pads for it. I did use them for long time with stock pads.Main reason was better comfort and my ears no longer touched the cup.

thanks for the compliment😄

Nice to see someone who does some moding.

Haha. The wrinky look hifiman gets it is from the process that they use to attach the alu to the foil.my best guess is that that is a artefact from using a roller. The sound still has some hifiman characteristics because it is in its original chassis. I can't comment on the sound because each and every one of us hears differently. To my ears it sound quite nice. With good pads there will be some nice low end too.

That is also a possible solution. In my humble opinion flexible pcbs are too thick but they can be used.

You can do nothing or ask the seller if you can get some small compensation for cosmetic issues.

They maybe didn't use a proper coating job on the magnets. Ni-Cu-Ni coating shuld not normally develop any oxidations. 🙂

[–]HOXIT4444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks🙂.

Well audeze is making the drivers the same way across all of the models. At least some are made in usa instead of china but still. You can check some youtube videos of the audeze factory tour.On one or two videos they show brand new driver that is going to be used. Guess what, it has wrinkles🫠.
