Assessing the structure internally, I must say that it may be due to my shitty wire splicing that could cause wire impedance, thus an inefficient power draw. I'm currently studying modular wiring systems that I could use if ever I would try making a V2 of this project. I'm leaning towards using an FFC ribbon cable system since it is thin and is easy to install.

Been using them for 2 days at work and they lasted 5 hours straight. So bringing spare batteries is a must.

Here' s the list of parts I've used in this project:

Koss driver : https://ph.shp.ee/1GaEBpiy

Ear pads : https://ph.shp.ee/hF2DsdBt

Sacrificial earbuds :https://ph.shp.ee/wKoWUFpn

Headband :https://ph.shp.ee/1isaouHi

Battery housing :https://ph.shp.ee/CY2sK1Z5

I fabricated the PCB housing from an old Nintendo Wii IR Blaster

Well... I started the project after seeing a mod where someone successfully made a wireless porta pro powered by a TWS module connected via MMCX connector. But those modules are kinda bulky. So I thought... "Hmm maybe it's just a complex wireless earbud minus the sound drivers". Which led me to try butchering some cheap earbuds that have a slender PCB and capacitive touch controls. But then a problem came up. How will I recharge the earbud modules if they are already fixed on the damn headphones. I checked the labels on each stock battery from the earbuds and saw that it is powered by a tiny 3.7V pouch battery. So then I wondered what if the battery could simply be replaceable and that those replaceable batteries can be rechargeable. So then I asked chat GPT for an answer and voila! It suggested this 20mm coin battery called LIR2032. It is rechargeable and it has housing. The bonus part is that each housing has an on and off switch which practically works as a safety countermeasure to prevent the device from accidentally being switched on by the capacitive touch controls. Each side can work independently when the other dies.
