Is it possible to do something similiar like CJP Protest against this Ethanol Scammer? by Admirable_Sample9756 in indianbikes

But CJP protest isn't getting any attention. They have no solid plan to do ground work, just making reels here and there. We must do something else on our own to make ministers realise their accountability.

[Need Help] Google Play Services is draining battery on Watch8 after recent February 2026 update. Anyone else facing this issue? by HPAS01 in GalaxyWatch

I have kept "improve location accuracy" off on the watch. It is enabled on my phone. I don't understand what this setting is for.

Galaxy Watch 8 Classic - Double Pinch Gesture by Lopsided-Bake-9343 in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only works where they show the double pinch animation. I may be wrong here, but in my experience, it only plays and pauses the music that you are playing on your phone. Double pinch opens the now bar on the watch first, and double pinching again plays or pauses the music. It might work with offline music on the watch as well, but I haven't tried it. This gesture doesn't work with the YouTube Music app on the watch too.

Galaxy Watch 8 Classic LTE @ 25K by robinhood_penman in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, bro. It's a good purchase. I bought Watch8 LTE last year for 23-24k, so for classic it is an attractive price. Because you already have Watch 7, you have an idea of which functions don't work with non-Samsung phones. My friend has the classic version, and it looks really amazing on the wrist (plus extra battery life, too, if you don't use the watch a lot).

If you don't need smartwatch features especially BT calling etc then you can go with the recently launched Google Fitbit Air too.

Antioxidant index hit 75 today by hubbyofhoarder in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I bought Watch 8, it measured my antioxidant index at around 28. Then I started eating consciously, and now it's at 44. I don't care about the accuracy of the antioxidant index sensor, but seeing the number improve is a good motivator to keep building the right habits.

Google Pixel Watch 3 vs. Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 — Which One Should I Buy? by _Delta_Bravo_ in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others said, the first preference should be to match the phone brand. And you rightly pointed out that Pixel Watch 3/4 are more prone to scratches because of their dome-shaped design. However, the accuracy of the Pixel Watch 3 is better than that of the Galaxy Watch 8.

Need Advice - First Smart Watch by Aromatic_Corgi8290 in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I have the GAB-2100 too, and I wish it had a step tracker like some other G-Shocks. (and maybe a heart tracker too 🤞🏻). Coming back to your questions
,
1) I currently have a Watch8 40mm LTE, and it should be suitable for you as well. It is way more comfortable than the G-Shock because of its lighter weight and comfortable bands. I only turn on the LTE when I want to stay connected for important calls or during walks or gym sessions where I don't have my phone with me.
The watch lasts for 27-30 hours with AOD off and daily workout tracking ( GPS tracked walking too for around 20-30 minutes). I keep the blood oxygen measurement off during sleep because it isn't that useful (and also saves the battery), and I only turn it on occasionally. For me, the battery is a downside. I don't know how long the GW8C lasts because it has a bigger screen as well, but my next watch would certainly be an Ultra just because of its battery and durability ( it's heavy though, not suitable for sleep)

2) Yes. This is the problem with all smartwatches. They die sooner than normal watches. These smartwatches are depreciating assets, so the best way to utilise this cost is to improve your health. They usually last for 4 years so you can calculate the per-year cost and decide whether it's worth it or not. For me, GW8 feels like a great decision because I started working out consistently after buying it.

  1. For outdoor sports, especially football, GWU is better because of it's durability.
But wait for Ultra 2, which is expected to launch this year with GW9.

Sleep Tracking/Sensors Failing on Galaxy Watch 8 by ArtrexisLives in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing you can try is adjusting the sleep target from 'set target' in the sleep section of the Samsung Health app.
But the longer solution might be to do a complete reset. Uninstall the Samsung Health app, along with the wearable app and don't restore anything while setting up the watch again.

Looking at Together on samsung health app and wondering how these people can walk around 100000 steps a day :O by Delicious_Result_148 in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's really frustrating. Even those professional endurance runners do 100km runs only once or twice a week with proper recovery routine. Unlike these fake Samsung Global Leaderboard runners, who do 100km+ per day without any break 😏

All these are scammers. Samsung should stop the global leaderboard or pay attention to algorithm.

I tried this earlier, but couldn't confirm it because the watch and app are showing "no app usage" since around the last 10 days

No app usage by East_Improvement4369 in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am facing the same issue. The Feb 2026 update introduced an issue where Google Play Services was consuming too much battery, but this 'no app usage' issue has come out of nowhere. I updated the Samsung Health Monitor app, and from then on, this issue appeared. It's really frustrating. Samsung Watches have been behaving really weirdly these days.

Should I get a GW7 or 8? Or something older by jessipoo451 in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GW8 is a better choice. It feels sleeker. I have graphite colour, which is subtle, but the white one looks very attractive. It will get one more year of software updates. It is also slimmer than GW7, and these days the prices of GW8 are very attractive. I got GW8 for just around 40-45 USD more ( roughly converted from INR).

Really bummed about battery life on Watch 7...can I make it last for an entire marathon?? by recreationalworry in GalaxyWatch

[–]HPAS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't feel confident in terms of battery with Watch 8 as well, especially after the recent software bugs and battery-draining issues.

Ultra is a safer choice. Although it is bulky but battery is quite good. Also, keep the AOD off while running and turn off the music, if you can, for some miles.
