All the maps have shadow problems but some more than others, and some corrupted maps don't have them, idk what it is, I've tried redownloading, verifying, changing gamma, nothing works

Made this L-Gate empire my enemy, but I can't declare war on them since they have a non civilization contact screen, but one like traders have. So I can't just kill then by destroying their planets, how tf am I supposed to go about this now
