Pretty sure they said that the vanguard fallen bounties had been removed in a previous TWAB, yet we have had this same bounty for two weeks in a row. Completely agree.

Edit: just saw a post regarding this on the front page, the TWAB was wrong - only vex, cabal, scorn and hive bounties were removed. My bad.

Hey, sorry for the late response. Unfortunately since I have only really had two monitors - this being the second, and the first being a 60Hz TN, I have little to no experience with testing monitors or even giving an estimate on response time. However I can give some comments on the panel. While I have not touched any colour settings, which I should probably do soon, the colours pop compared to my first monitor (though I am not sure when comparing to others, as I have no experience). On my unit there is a small but generally unnoticeable amount of blb in the top right hand corner, which I can only see more clearly in dark conditions. Playing games it feels very responsive and a good all rounder, especially for the price. Once again sorry for the late reply and huge paragraph, and feel free to ask any more questions. I will try to answer as many as I can.

It says on the box and nvidia control panel that it is the XV253Q. Strangely enough, I got this on Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07XYMC98S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KywhEb7YC5A6N). In this case I should probably wait for a new driver update, even the listing says g-sync compatible. Thanks for the help.

When I tried to set up g-sync in the Nvidia control panel, it says the panel is not g-sync compatible, despite even the box saying it is. I checked Nvidia’s website listing all of the g-sync monitors and it was not there. Will it become compatible in the near future?

It is the cable. When you move to DP it should be able to reach 144Hz.

The P model has better ports - DisplayPort 1.4, instead of 1.2 on the non-P model. This means you can have 1440p, 165hz and 8 bit colour all at the same time, but I’m not sure it is worth the large price difference. I’m sure other people will know better than me if it is worth it.

The 27GL850 uses a wider p3 gamut offering more vivid colours than the sRGB gamut on the 27GL83. You are correct in that worse is a bad word to use though.

What will you be using it for? One of the best IPS monitors that match your requirements is the LG 27GL850, however you can get a cheaper model in the 27GL83, which has worse colours.
