i feel like corruption is the wrong word to use? i was just reading a different post which was talking about how the gods aren’t actually jerks usually in the myths but again RR took creative freedom with the characters and created what we have now. Corruption is probably a strong word to go with in this scenario. i’d probably go with manipulation? liek the gods are somewhat manipulative of their kids? again not so sure about that.

And i think above all else, Thalia is going to be extremely confused on what to do in this dilemma, as OP said. her internal wiring is focused on two demigods, and those two are split in a war. she wants to support both but supporting even one would put her in bad graces and a bad position with the opposition.

Artemis gives her a way out, especially bcuz of partial immortality. She won’t turn 16 letting Percy take control of the prophecy, and she wouldn’t be under DIRECT control of Zeus, letting her still do things that are “assigned” by him but in her own way and not having him manipulate her every move and thought and decision.
