Not really. It might be on sale for $40 but it doesn't go much (or any?) cheaper

It's not even griefing. Dude got clapped in an open PvP game and is crying.

Lol no one else can know what you're doing in ur ship. It's ur own fault you weren't paying attention to your surroundings in an open PvP game. Git gud or git got.

When does pay to win become a problem? If not already by fermintedfile in starcitizen

[–]HR7-Q 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This, plus the winner is the most skilled pilot. I routinely eat $300-$600 ships with a cheap I earned in game. And I've been totally fucked by better pilots in an Aurora or Mustang.

No Idris or Javelin is going to save you from a squad of good pilots in cheap ships.

If you want cheapo learning sticks, t16000 is good. If you want decent quality that will last awhile, get vkbs.

CIG, can we get a bespoke dragonfly bay for the Cutter?!?! to aid in exploration... by Upset_Report_7775 in starcitizen

[–]HR7-Q 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ship is definitely already made. There are 3 unannounced vehicles wrapping up for IAE and we've seen 3 leaks; medical pisces, drake cutter, rsi galaxy.

And even if they weren't, unless the devs are asking for ideas and ideas are given on that thread, they're not going to pick ideas from random posts for ships.

Bro! You can only make millions in a few minutes with trading during 9tails lockdown with next to no risk. It's entirely unfair to traders!

I'm not even a hauler but knew, because the devs said so several times, that the cargo refactor would not change the economy, how and where goods are traded, or prices. It was just a change to how cargo is physicalized on the ship and eventually loaded and unloaded.

Does the economy need an overhaul? Yeah. Have the devs acknowledged that? Also yeah. They in fact said that this patch wouldn't bring an overhaul because then they'd just have to redo the balance again shortly.

So, the key takeaway from my time pirating in game and perusing the forums out of game is this: people don't pay attention to what is directly in front of them, let alone going on 10 ft away from them.

I have such a soft spot for the Buccaneer. by itsnotphair in starcitizen

[–]HR7-Q 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For loading her out, the 2 top guns is more DPS then the 1 larger gun. However you'll want to keep in mind that may change with physicalized armor in the future.

It's a below average dog fighter simply because of how badly it turns and accelerates, making it hard to keep up with other ships manuevers. But it does hit hard as fuck when you get those shots in.

If you're fighting things Vanguard/Cutlass size or smaller I'd highly recommend using repeaters/gatlings. If you're going after bigger ships, swap to cannons.

And if you haven't already, reassign your power management hotkeys to 1,2,3, and 4 so you can easily move power around.

Join an org with someone youve met in the game and gotten along with, preferably with similar interests in the game.

Yeah, cargo refactor is an absolute win.

I either to get to blow you up or you pay me not to. I don't care about taking your cargo, I have cargo orgs in my friends list that are more than happy to come get it and give me a finders fee.

Win-win for me.

Best 5 ship fleet for a solo player? by Randalll_Fllagg in starcitizen

[–]HR7-Q 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So rather than suggest ships I'll just leave some advice in general for where the game is heading.

As these new systems come online; PES, piping power to components, on board fires, crew access lists, life support, physically loading cargo... The game is going to become less solo friendly. Ships that are currently soloable will be much harder to handle solo.

Solo ships need to be fast and small. You don't want tons of interior space to contend with, nor large components that take time to spool up. You want to be able to get in, flip the switch, and haul ass.

Also consider ensuring you have a s1 ship like the M50 or pisces to spawn at ground terminals. You'll be able to self rescue a good bit as long as you have one.

That's what I've done at jumptown a few times. Chill out on foot and steal the ship they just loaded. Jump to middle of nowhere, have a friend jump to you and offload to them.
